You and Dad have truly raised the bar of '"hope''and "'never give up". What courage. I am soooooo happy for your entire family.  Thanks for sharing the great success. Blessings.

    Surgeon: Dr. Michael Smith
Surgeon: Dr. Michael Smith (St. Joseph Thoracic) Phoenix, Az
Radiologist: Dr. Vershalee Shukla (Goodyear, Az)
Oncologist: Dr. Haidar Zafar (Phoenix, Az)

I hope our story will bring hope to others that are suffering. The odd's were stacked against us, but I would never accept them. My father thanked me last night while crying. He thinks it was because of my determination that he's where he is now, cancer free. I don't believe that. I reminded him that I'm my father's daughter, I learned to be that way from him. I truely believe it was his strength, courage, and a helping hand from God.

    That is great news!!!

So glad to hear that your Dad had a clean path report!!! I know having this surgery was a difficult decision for him. With his past experience with surgical issues I am sure it took a lot of courage to make the decision to go forward. It will take some time to recover and get used to his new digestive system but it does get better as time goes by. Tell him to have patience, be kind to himself, and take things one day at a time.

    Best Regards,

I wanted to thank all of you

I wanted to thank all of you for your words of encouragment before and after the surgery.  If it wasn't for this site I don't know if surgery would have happened. Your words and wisdom gave us the strength to push through all of this.  THANK YOU!!
