Maybe 3rd Round Taxo & Cytox!!! Been delayed twice!

in Breast Cancer #1

Wish me luck today!  Hopefully I will be able to continue my Chemo treatments today!  Had to cancel 3/25 and 4/1 treatment dates due to Radiation Recall.  I had Mammosite (internal radiation) first and then started Chemo.  The Chemo always finds the weakest link in your body!  It's like a bad sunburn that peels and leaves skin raw.  They treated me with triple antibotic cream and Silvadene.  It's better and I hope it's a go today.  It's discouraging when you have to delay treatments because you make plans and have to cancel them!  Just want to get on with life!  Tired of being tired!  Just a little down today!  I know I have to be positive, Right!

I just want to thank everyone for your insights and encouraging words in my past posts!

    Hi LittleBee,

    I hope they can resume your chemo treatments today.  I can't imagine how frustrating it must be for you.  You do need to get on with your life, so I truly hope it all works out today.  My fingers and toes are crossed for you!

    I know how discouraging it

    I know how discouraging it can be to have chemo cancled, my wife had two sessions cancled becasue her liver counts were not where the Onc wanted them to be. Just remember they are cancleing them because it is best for you. My initial thought was " The cancer is going to regrow " after discusiing this concern with the Onc, he assured me that missing two sessions would not cause the cancer to regrow and we just ended up making up those two session on the end.     Little Bee,

    I only had 2 rounds of tax/cytox.  My reason was because I was allergic to it!  Anyway, I am now 2 1/2 years out from my last round and 3 years since diagnosis.  I am still dancing with NED.  You will get through this.

     Thanks everyone!  I

    Cool Thanks everyone!  I definitely love the idea of a party....bring out those party hats & noise makers!   I never thought I would say I am Looking forward to Monday my last Chemo!  Yaw-Hoo!  I will be able to get on with life again!  I have missed so many activities this year and I am ready to get back into the swing of things.  I need a vacation!  

    Thanks for everyone's support!  Appreciate all the well wishes!  Let's hope nothing gets in the way for Monday!
