OT - Walda effecting you yet? STILL! (added)
We're under Winter Storm Warnings from 6 pm tonight until 6 am Wed. but it may get changed to Blizzard Warnings. We're being told to expect 24" of snow, winds above 40 mph (we've already had a gust to 45 mph. but no snow yet).
Hope this isn't the start of what happened a couple years ago - 4 blizzards in 3 weeks April - May a couple years ago. Oh well if it happens it will an there is nothing I can do to change that. At least we'll get some moisture from it as now the area is in Extreme to Exceptional drought. I'm almost ready though - just ha e to run out and fill up my Bronco II (my 3/4t. 4X4 Dodge is full and Hubby's 3/4t Ford 4X4 is also full. Have plentyh of food in the house and our stove is an older gas one so the top burners will work even IF we loose power. If we loose power, I have plenty of kerosene lamps to light the house up good and a kerosene heater to keep warm. But he may stay at the shop as he's the duty driver tonight and tomorrow night as there will certainly be a lot of fender benders and vehicle in the ditches to keep him busy until they decide to close the roads.

Well - Officially Walda finally left us yesterday at 6 pm but it is still 'interesting. It set a record for Rapid City - the most snow every dumped on RC since records in one midnight to midnight period.
I just sat back in the bed room laughing at a some? of a driver of the dumpster dump truck get himself royally stuck They finally brought another truck and extra driver who seemed to know a bit more about driving. They finally got it out with the other driver and chained to the other truck. It was real weird how the drifts formed. My Bronco II was completely covered by a solid drift that cover him totally and probbably at least 2 ft over him. My Dodge had a bit of show in the bed and a drift about 3 ft behind him and Hubby's F250 just has a bit of a dusting on it.
OH Well at least we got moisture - despairatly needed moisture!

In western South Dakota. Actually on the edge of the prairie just a few miles ENE of the Black Hills. Have you heard of the Sturgis Motorcycle rally? Well we're about 35 miles ESE of Sturgis.
