Hello all!!!!

I was diagnosed with breast Cancer at the age of 26.  I am not new to the area however don't know many people.  I am now 32 and am looking for any "young" breast cancer survivors in the houston area willing to meet up to talk, vent, cry, etc.... Smile

    Yes there are.  I was

Yes there are.  I was diagnosed at 38, stage IV ... so I am not who you are looking for.  But you may find them at the Young Survivers Coalition.  You can find them here:  http://www.youngsurvival.org

Hi! There are many on here

Hi! There are many on here that were diagnosed at a young age and they are all doing great.  Youngsurvival.org is a great site and there is also a discussion forum on here titled young cancer survivors that might help you.

Do you belong to a cancer support group at your cancer center?  Or, maybe your oncologist can help you out in reaching out to others your age.

    Wishing you good luck,

    Lex

    :(

Too bad we are too far away. I was dx at 32 and am now 34. I was dx in 2011, IDC. Took chemo, radiation, and currently taking tamox. I am so happy you're doing well. It's always great to see. I hope you find some friends, who get it. I know it's hard to be able to communicate with those who have not experienced this challenge. But hey, we are here so we can always exchange emails and chat!

     Do you have facebook?

    Hugs!!

You are so young and my heart

You are so young and my heart just breaks to read of someone your age fighting bc.  We may not be able to be there in person with you, but, please post anything on here and you will find lots of support and encouragment from all of us.  We are all in this together so lean on us and see if we can help you in someway.

    Hugs, Diane

    Checking out your breast

Checking out your breast cancer support group in your area is a great idea.  I think most cancer centers always have one.  I don't know if anyone mentioned breastcancer.org as it is a really good site too.

    And, we're here for you!

    All the best to you,

    Megan
