Saw the onco
We had a long talk because my body is not taking to the anti hormonal pills well. Its a quality of life issue. My bllod sugar have been lousy the weight gain is to much I am barely eating it goes up. I am the heavyest I have ever been. I have enough being a guinea pig. This is my choice He told me I have a 5% chance of it coming back I take that chance. My tummy doesnt want to eat and my head is hurting to much the CT and MRI has come back clear .

Hi Jerseygirl,
I don't understand your cancer. Your bio says IDC (invasive ductal carcinoma) and then it says it says IBC (inflammatory breast cancer?) stage 3.
You had a lot of nodes but I've known women would a lot that never recurred again.
Stage 4 usually indicates the cancer went to a distant organs, bones, liver, lungs, brain or further down near the female organs (can't think of the name). Do you have cancer in a distant organ? If not, then how can he say you are stage 4 with a 5% of it returning?
Now IBC is treated very seriously as it can be an aggressive cancer. Though I've read about women who are in their 10th year with no recurrence with IBC.
Stage IV is the last stage and no matter if one goes for a long time NEAD (no evidence active disease), it always returns. I did read once that 1% may not return but I could never find the source for that conclussion.
I am not doubting what he said to you, I just don't understand.
My experience with hormonal drug therapies, it takes about 3 weeks before you start feeling better and the same when it's reverse, going back on.
Wishing you the best off hormonal drug therapies.

I am so sorry Jerseygirl. Bone mets aren't fun. I can't take anything either to strengthen my bones because it gave me uveitis. One doesn't know until they try.
I hope all goes well off the drug and wishing you the best,
Doris
