How to access Facebook Group
I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to join the EC Facebook Group. Also wondering if anyone had heard an update on Dave (BermudaGirl was Discusssion Board Name) who had a difficult post esophagectomy. I often think about them and wonder if he has fully recovered. Betsy

You can be added by anyone who is currently in the group
You can be added to the CSN esophageal cancer Facebook group by anyone who is currently in the group. If you send me your Facebook profile name I will send you a friend request and once accepted I can add you. Of, you can send me a friend request at Paul D. Adams and ask to be added.
Dave had some real challenges after his surgery and as a result he was in the hospital for many weeks. His surgery was not completed because they had to give him time to recover from the last surgery. He is currently recovering and is scheduled for surgery on April 1st hopefully to use a portion of his colon to complete the esophagectomy this time. The good news is his current scans show him as NED at this time so he has had an excellent response to chemotherapy and radiation therapy. We are all praying this surgery will work better than the last.

Thanks
Thank you for asking about Dave. I also check on here often to see how he is doing. My husband has also had a rough time after surgery. He had his esophagectomy Dec 11 and has had many complications since. He had respiratory failure 3 times which resulted in a traechetomy (hopefully temporary), he had a leak which took 3 procedures to fix, pnuemonia 3 times and the flu. He just started eating a week ago and has also had significant weight loss. Thankfully, he did respond well to chemo and radiation and there was no spread. He was T3N0M0 prior to the surgery and after T2N0M0.....I am not clear if the tumor was just not as large as they thought or the chemo reduced the size. Either way, the Dr. was pleased.
I think I will try to join the group. I don't love this site as much since they kicked off so many of the prior members.

Secondly, I would also like to join the Facebook group. Could you tell me the name of it so I can search for it? I tried myself to no avail.
Thank you!
