I've been ready
Nothing all winter but snow, rain, sleet, high winds in my area.Sick of it.Husband too.Our conversations now are "When will spring be here????" This has been the wettest, windiest and snowy winter i can remember. I've felt kinda down but when spring hits I will perk up more. I think we all need a breath of Fresh Air!!!!!! Been couped long enough!!!!

the longer days and nice
the longer days and nice weather is so welcoming. Even though I live in Las Vegas, NV but it was a really cold year.
I'm ready to get over this so I can get back in the saddle to enjoy this beautiful weather.

Bought new goldfish yesterday\
I have a 'pond' (read a tub) on the deck thst I keep goldfish in during spring/summer. Some years I bring them in for winter but last year gave to a class so needed new ones and got them yesterday. Still have to stay in for a while but I have Speckles (spotted reddish yellow, white and black), Hat (white with a red 'hat'), Tails (white with a red tail. The other 2 don't have names yet (thoughts) ----- one is solid very dark red and the other is black. I'm thinking of either Bed (don't know why because that would be a strange name for a fuish but it rymes with red) but no ideas for the black one as I've already had several Ebony.
Also spent time today 'working' with my winter house plants (bougainvillas and succlents/cactus) to get them ready to go outside again once blizzards are past.
Last weekend we went to Cabella's to look around. Hubby wound up getting me a flyfishing vest, a hiking staff and a bunch of new stuff for my spinng rod. I recently finished building my new 5 wt fly rod through Project Healing Waters and he bought me a bait caster blank to build but it won't be here for about a week.
Not looking forward to all the woolie mammouths (horses) starting shedding but once they have shed - they look like horses again.

noel: we camp in dirt no hook ups, walk to bathroom, ride bike to store and showers! we used to do 2 wks straight for 25 yrs but now college daughter and grandkids...so now one week and then 3 weekend trips..we had RV and downsized back to tiny camper on back of our truck (SLIDES IN) I can sit at the table and reach the fridge, stove, sink, and bathroom without getting up. hehe...i grew up camping from infancy. We are DVC (Disney Vacation Club) which is ownership in DELUXE resort...so I do vacation on both side of the spectrum. (cruise in 45 days.)

I wish my mom was still around-she camped for over 30 yrs with us after my dad died. She too wanted nice comfy luxery but still camped with us. Since she died we are part of DVC (Disney Vacation CLUB) which is "all top of the line Deluxe resorts". I am sad she is not around to enjoy (our trips to Disney were camping or value resorts) BOTH great-but she would have loved our DVC.....
