    It is such a jolt to hear this. Sweetblood and her wisdom and strength were one of the reasons we were able to make it through as we did. It was for this reason that we met there in PA as Mary and I were coming back from a hockey tournament in Rochester a year and a half ago. Perhaps I will repost the photo. In fact, we didn't even stop off to see my aunt and uncle there nearby as Dawn was far more important. 

    I am sure that DrMary will send something to her on Facebook but, please, send your prayers and Karma and strength her way. She is one of the good people in this world and we can ill afford to lose her. Doug

    Surgery Today

    Please keep Dawn in your thoughts and prayers...

    She is having surgery today..., I'm not totally aware of exactly what her procedure is, or log term treatment is or will consist of as of yet... But she has said it is indeed cancer, not related to Head & Neck, more gender related I believe...

    But anyways, wanted to post what I am aware of of and get some added prayers sent her way.

    Quick Update...

    Dawn is out of surgery..., all went well...

    For now it depends on the paths on future treatment.

    Dawn has Fanconi Anemia (FA) a rare, inherited blood disorder... This doesn't allow for her to have chemo, which she didn't with her intitial treatment either.

    So keep prayers going her way...

    Dawn expressed how thankful she is to have so many on here praying for her and thanks you all from the bottom of her heart...

    I will pray very hard for you, I truly in my heart and soul know that prayer works. Right now it might be hard to believe, as is any set back we suffer, but God only gives us what we can handle. Unforunately you don't know that you can handle it until it happens. Whatever strength you had for your initial battle, find it again and concentrate, I will pray that surgery is all that is required and that the Lord holds your hand through it all.

    Thanks so much for keeping us updated.  Please let Dawn know she's in my prayers.  She's such a warrior and was so very thoughtful with all her replies to me when I lost Charlie.  And to boot a dog lover!  Thanks.
