Flagging posts
I just saw a post that has been flagged and for the life of me I can't understand the reasoning behind the flag. It was a comment made by John23.This is getting out of hand people. Chill, please!
When I first came on this forum flags were reserved for the most egregious offenses like spam or every once in awhile someone would cross way over the line and have to be reeled in a little. I'm sure Greta has better things to do than monitor childish playground fights.
This is a cancer support group! I also attend a local American Cancer Society (TOUCH ) meeting and nobody behaves this way when they are face to face with fellow survivors.

Thanks for noticing the flag!
Greta usually contacts the individual that has flagged a post, and asks for the reason why it was flagged. Sometimes a post will be insulting to someone, other times the flag is some sort of retaliation for petty reasons, but Greta (or another moderator) will decide that and act accordingly.
My post wasn’t intended to insult anyone; it was an attempt to bring some sanity to what’s been a fairly insane two weeks, and appears the two weeks will be turning to three…the flames continuing long after the embers have cooled.
Disagreements are normal fare for any open forum, and they often do get a bit out of hand. Knowing when to quit; when to walk away, is important….. I was reluctant to throw my nickel’s worth in, and should have kept walking…… You can see what happens when you don’t keep walking….
Oh well….. There’s more important things to be concerned with…
Best wishes for your better health!

It may have been me. New at this, i thought i was marking it to go back like a bookmark. Plus not use to this I Pad thing. Did not mean to upset anyone. I am going to go back to a real computer and paper!
Don't worry Este - we all make mistakes! I'm sure John will forgive you. i've worried I've done the same on my kindle a few times, when I hit that flag button by mistake, but I've gone back to check and it wasn't flagged.

My lawyer will be calling your lawyer this afternoon.
I’m sure we can resolve my extreme financial losses amiably.

Thanks Este and I see you are new so let me say "Welcome". If you want to bookmark a thread go up left top of the thread and click on Add to favorites.
And one other piece of advice....Don't you give John23 one red cent. Hang up on his lawyers!

unlike the Colon Club where they are now locking down threads at the slightest hint of dissent. Let's just hope we don't get to the point of calling in our lawyers! AA
