antidepressant
starting my 2nd weekly Taxol tomorrow
physically feel OK
but too depressed about everything, including my husband in Colombia and my father just died
CAN ANYONE RECOMMEND AN ANTIDEPRESSANT THAT HAS WORKED FOR THEM AND TAKES CARE OF THE ANXIETY AS WELL?
thanks,
Beila
ps I became depressed BEFORE my dad passed away...this is not just a grief reaction

Hi Beila!
So sorry to hearHi Beila!
So sorry to hear about your dad passing as well as the feelings of depression & anxiety. Alot going on in addition to your treatment!
I take 50mg of zoloft every day for my depression & anxiety. It was first prescribed when I was going thru peri-menopause and would have these PMS mini-rages. I don't feel any different from the med..can't even tell I am on it, but ai have noticed when I have gone off it a few times the anger returns as well as the 'blues.'
I take zanax about once every 2 or 3 years for when I cannot manage my anxiety on my own thru relaxation or other techniques I was taught. I don't care for it as I do feel like I have had a couple drinks (and I don't drink!), but it got me through high stress events like the biopsy.
Best of luck!

The palliative care physician I am seeing consulted with a psychiatrist who deals with a lot of cancer patients & prescribed remeron for me. I take at bedtime & it has sedating effects. I am taking Ativan less frequently.
Hope this info helps. Good luck with taxol. I will get my first ca125 soon- got fingers crossed that carbo/taxotere will be effective.
Best regards, Mary Ann0
