My Resection is Tuesday :(
Uugghhh.... Sooo nervous. Might wake up with a liver pump might not. Won't know till I wake up and that's the scary part. Well, one of the scary parts. The whole cancer thing and surgery itself is terrifying. Well, my fellow fighters, here we go with round 2...

Back in July of last year was my introduction to resection. I remember the night before my resection; hard to sleep and harder to wake-up. Within a short time of ariving at the hospital I was under the sweet influence of pharmaceuticals. After surgery I was in ICU for about a day and then off to my own room. When I woke up I was in my room and comfortable as can be expected. I did have a drain that went home with me for a couple of more days after my six day stay in hospital.
Please try not to fixate on the label of cancer. It is very hard not to, I do know that part. However, the treatments are better and the outcomes are improving yearly. There is hope for many, if not all, of us. Lastly, try not to be too sedentary after surgery and take advantage of the breathing exercises post surgery. Although they (the breathing exercises) are not fun...neither is pneumonia.
You'll do GREAT
Keep us updated on your progress...

Good luck!
And although I know it's very hard, try not to be too scared. The fact that you are young and strong will really be in your favor. You are going to get through this and be back on the road to better health before you know it! Big hugs, hopes for a smooth surgery and quick recovery coming your way~Ann Alexandria

Thinking of you KayeKay
I'll be thinking of you in the morning and hoping to hear from you soon that you breezed through it just fine and are on the mend... well, it might not be that breezy, but I have confidence just like the others that you'll do well. You've got my prayers and support.
