Node swelling in uncommon areas!

in Lymphoma (Hodgkin and Non-Hodgkin) #1

just wanted to know if anyone has had any lymph nodes swelling in unusual places? My Dr is glad that I had the CT and that the surgon is on top of things, however he finds it odd that I have lump swelling unusually for glands...given my other sysmptoms it does feel that it could certainly be a lymphoma recurrence but of course only biopsies will be difinitive. 

 

Just wanted to know if anyone has had similar experience? I have one near my jaw joint, one on the lower mandible, one almost in the center of my chest, one under my left breast, one in the most common area by the collar bone.

    Welcome to the group, 

    Was wondering the places you have the nodes swollen, can you actually see and feel them? I had many swollen lymph nodes but since I'm not very thin I couldn't feel them. Before my cancer diagnosis I didn't even think of lymph nodes or anything like that. So I never even checked for anything strange, but once your dx oh boy you learn quick! Others will comment soon, sending you positive thoughts and please keep us updated on what you find out. Take care

    Hi Liz

    Thanks for your reply. I have a lump on the right side on top of my rib cage, one under my left breast, one near my collar bone on left side, one near my jaw joint, one on the lower mandible. Yes I can feel them, that is what sent me to see the Dr. agian. I had a punch skin biopsy in center of chest due to a plaque area however, biopsy said it was slight inflamation. I had a CT yesterday, I see the surgon again on the 15th. This would be the 3rd time if Dx is lymphoma. I hate waiting.

    Thanks Liana, yeah hoping it is just an infection of some sort that we can get under control quickly.
