Hi Doris,

I am sorry I didn't wish you  good luck as you started your Taxol treatment on Wednesday.  I see that you are doing good so far and I wanted to send positive thoughts and hugs your way.  I follow so many of your posts and you have given me such good advice since joining this board.  I really hope you tolerate the Taxol and you start feeling better soon.

Hugs,

Ginny

    Thank you!

Thank you Ginny and for your nice comment about my advice.   So many women struggle so much harder than I have and I wish they were awards to give them for their bravery as they plow on into the unknown.  I admire them so much.

I was in shock there for a week or so and had so much on my plate all at once.  Not only with me but my dear father and mother who struggle so in the declining years.  I pretty much back to where I was.  Thank you for the lovely post, it made my day.

    hugs to you too.

    Ditto, Doris!

In fact, I recently commented to Sharon's (Blazintrails) "New to board" post to always read your responses.  I've felt you are a wealth of info from my first day here, and I really appreciate you.  Hugs, Linda

    Sweet Doris!

Wishing you well with your new treatment plan. I don't stop by as often as I did but I check up on everyone and pray for all of you. And I love reading your posts and responses - I've learned a lot from you. Thank you.

Thank you all for your very kind remarks.  I just had a longer time in treatment than most women - 18 1/2 years this month. You learn a lot and I've also read a lot, availability where I work.  It was an easy way to keep abreast.

When I talk about other medical issues and prescriptions, I think of the book "Roots" by Alex Haley when the guy in the village gives out the genealogy information, "arimidex" begat fractures that led to bisphosphonates which then begat uveitis which then begat.... and on and on.

We are all in the same boat, trying to understand, cope and live with an awful disease.

Thank you for the comments it has made my tough week easier and I'm back in the groove, at least I am hoping I am.

Grateful and big hugs to you all,

    Doris

    To Joyce:

I am doing better.   Thanks to all my bc sisters and friends in real time.  The women here do know better than anyone else what it is like to be on this journey.  They are my main support and I appreciate them with all my heart.  There the best!

I'm back working having started the process to start retiring.  Have my 2nd treatment tomorrow.  Though I will start dropping the numbers, as they are going to be just treatments I am having to "get rid of" those tumor.  Thank you you for kind words and encouragement.

    Best,

    Doris

Good luck tomorrow and thank you

for all you contribute to this group.  18 1/2 years is a long time and you have definitely achieved an advanced degree in all things breast cancer.  Thank you for what you share with us.

    Hugs,

    Hope

Thank you Ginny, for the vote of confidence.

I am prepared to leave work earlier than usual and have the treatment.  Not sure I can show them yet whose boss.  They sort of told me in spades on the last ct scan.  I had been doing so well and even had regression on the scan before last.  My very first regression in so long a time and I was so proud of the "re".   It it so hard to believe that they took the upper hand.  I am hoping the infusion drown them while leaving my lungs intact.

Hope springs eternal and my next scan will hopefully be stable or back with regression.  I'm keeping that thought uppermost in my mind.

    Thank you again,

    Doris
