Four-Wheel Drive Pink Bus Available?
I'm supposed to have my final round of chemo on Friday. They're calling for a winter storm here Tuesday into Wednesday that could lead to significant amounts of snow. I am so worried that I will not make it to my oncologist for labs on Thursday and that they will delay my chemo session on Friday. Anyone have a pink bus with four-wheel drive? Spending the rest of the week anxious is going to be terrible.

I hope you're right. I know this worrying is an irrational waste of time. I'm just so ready to be finished. I have been so lucky throughout this process.

Blood work on Fri
You should be able to get there a few minutes early (30 +/-) on Friday for the blood work. All my pre-chemo blood work were done just prior to the infusion. SOP at my Center.
We have a Winter Storm Warning (now they are saying possdible Blizzard Warning instead) coming in this afternoon. Wind is already picking up so we'll see. March is our snowiest month anyway but a couple of years ago we had 4 blizzards within 3 weeks in late March to April.

Oh, Susan, I hope so. I'm supposed to see my oncologist on Thursday morning, but that can wait as long as she lets me get my labs and my infusion on Friday if necessary. I suppose I could just email her and ask if this is a possibility once we get a more definitive weather forecast. I am so excited to be finished and to begin the process of reclaiming my life. And, I'm preparing to commence "Operation Hair Regrowth" as soon as I can. :-)

It has to because it is your day! So happy for you. Believe it or not, my forecast for today is 87 in TX. It was cold last night, and I had to wear a jacket to walk this morning. It is warming up fast now. Hugs, Linda

That is the sound of the Magic Pink Bus coming to pick you up! Didn't you know that it is 4 wheel drive? Yep, it has that option and we're using it for you!
Nothing will stop it from getting you to your last and final chemo!
So, put those seat belts on pinkies as this Pink Bus is going to be moving!

The Pink Bus is Magical and Can Do Anything!
Click on my name SIROD that will take you to another page, then click on "Expression" I have included the history of the "Pink Bus" that goes back to another BC Support Forum (now defunct) Click on Read more and down aways on the "Pink Bus" you will find this line that sum's it pretty good on how the Pink Bus works.
"Doesn't need anything but our will to make it so. It was devised for us to support and surround those who needed it most, whether with goodies or heartfelt wishes. We're off."
They can give you a blood test the day you are treated. That is how mine was done last week. So if we want the bus to have a slow plow on it, that can happen also.
I'll be there with you on the bus. I am having my treatment tomorrowl
Best,
Doris

I hope that you don't get the winter storm and that your weather is good for you to get that last treatment of chemo.
That is a huge milestone to accomplish!
The Pink Bus can get thru anything, even a snow storm.
Good luck and I'll bring some music so we can happy dance after you're done.
Congrats, Debby

Crossing my fingers too and everything else that I can that you can make it to chemo on Friday.
I hope the storm lessens, so, you don't have to worry about it at all.
Good luck and congrats to you early!

Weather Not As Bad As Forecast
The weather is much better than forecast. As long as my doctor's office has power, I am a "go" to see her and get my labs tomorrow. Then -- drumroll, please -- get my last infusion on Friday. Who knew a person could be so excited about something so unpleasant? I am sure all of your well wishes, and the warmth of the pink bus, had something to do with this turnaround.
We'll get the mulled cider and the cupcakes out for a toast and a gnosh (while I can still taste them)!

Hey! Don't discount the power of worrying! 90% of what I worry about NEVER happens! So it's working!!
