    I would like to know how long it took before the saliva issues went away and what was done. My husband is having the same issues...and doctors are all clueless!

    Saliva issues.

    Did you ever find out anything about over saliva. My Dad has the same problem a year after somach removal due to stomach cancer.

    Over Production of Saliva Following Stomach Cancer Surgury

    My Dad has Stomach cancer last January in which they removed the stomach and part of the esophagus. He finished chemo last Easter. He has suffered with dry-heaves all along sporatically. This past summer the over production of saliva started and has gotten worse since then. Recently he will have spells where he will constantly spit into a bucket between 4-6 hours. This may happen in any part of the day or wake him in the middle of the night loosing sleep. He has had CT scans with no return of the cancer to this day. If anyone can give advice on the saliva issue it would be greatly appriciacted.

    Hi, I also had stage IV stomach cancer and had a complete stomach surgery last Oct.3, 2008, just four months ago. Yes, it is a very difficult recovery. Your wife and I are in just about the same time period. How old is your wife? I am 60, diagnoised at 59.
    Each day is a new challenge, I am still trying to find out what I can eat and what causes cramping. This is my first communication on this web page but I am looking forward to exchanging useful information with anyone who has/had stomach cancer.     i am hoping that you can help my Mom through her TG which she had on Feb 10 2015.   It has been a rough road was clinically diagnosed as stage 3 prior to surgery she had radiation and chemo prior to surgery which reduced her tumor completely had a great response but even so they performed a TG on her her path reports came back with no evidence of cancer basically was staged at 0 post surgery.

    However she is suffering with severe nausea dry heaves sometimes phlegm comes up and the worst is bile as it burns her inside so bad.  She has a jtube which she still uses SOLELY 5 cans a day.  a month after her surgery she was eating soft foods and toleration it well but then all of sudden smells good anything just made her nauseous.  Since April 2015 she literally has not eaten anything orally and been in and out of ER for extreme nausea.  The only thing that helps is medical marijuana and now they have her in haldol,  Ativan does help at times 

    can you give me insight as to how long before you felt normal?  Will you be willing to talk to her?  I would truly appreciate any help
