Ofcourse my husband and family are number one! I am just so happy to have survived bc and to still be NED that it makes me smile and happy every day of my life! Unless you've walked in our shoes, you cannot realize how precious every day, every moment is to be free of cancer.
Love reading everyone's comments and thanks Susie for another great post!

Just spending time with mydesertgirl947 said:Lots of Things
Lots of things make me smile/happy:
- my husband
- my grandkids (they were here for about seven hours today) -- so full of life
- my friends
- my faith
- my home
- a good day, whether at work or at home
- having a sense of humor -- sometimes I don't even say what is running through my mind, as I am thinking that that particular thought is funny only to me; I like a good joke.
I could go on.
Just spending time with my husband! Today was perfect! He brought me breakfast in bed, we just laid around and watched movies, went for a short walk, laid around some more.. LOL All I need is him to make me happy!

Talk about happy! My Sistercinnamonsmile said:Cinnamon, my 8 year old
Cinnamon, my 8 year old cocker spaniel just amazes me
snuggles with brian
the flock of turkeys that come to visit our yard
the variety of birds that come to the bird feeder ....their colors, mystery, and sounds
boating and fishing...including ice fishing
gardening...vege garden and flowers
snowflakes falling from the sky
the feel of my arms floating in a lake
It was/is nice to read what makes others smile
taking pictures..my laptop is loaded with them
seeing my neighbors, fred and barb, mostly in the summer...
screaming in fear of silly things in the garden...like when the toad jumped out and i jumped, screamed and laughed....laughing when i am adjusting the lawn sprinkler in the garden and i get soaked
having a big old draty house with lots of history instead of the second floor two bedroom apartment i lived in for 16 years
searching my family tree
Talk about happy! My Sister called this morning and is going to try and fly here next month to spend some time with me! Crossing my fingers that this will work out for us! I miss her and want to see her!
That put a big smile on my face today!

Good thread
What makes me happy:
my 3 guinea pigs. My cat. Writing. Listening to meaningful songs. Napping. Eating soups. Eating fruits. Climbing trees. Green trees. Nature. Animals. OMG, so many things! Life can be wonderful if we remember what we have. I sometimes forget it.

If the photo is your daughter, she looks like a very precious jewel.

A new baby is always a reason to smile and since it is your new grandson a reason to be immensely happy.
He is the same size as my youngest son was at birth. That is a good size who will be able to sleep through the night very soon.
Mine had lots of hair too.
Enjoy, enjoy and enjoy this new blessing!

Vacation!SIROD said:Serenity
There hasn't been a lot lately to make me smile or to be happy.
I do enjoy seeing those incredible colors of our sun rising over the ocean.
It does bring me a measure of contentment.

We are planning our vacation this summer to the beach! I am so excited and so is my husband! I
can't wait for the sun, wind, sand and lots of great seafood.
I wish I could take all of you with us! Wouldn't that be fun?

You are one remarkable sister Donna for making your hats. I want you to know that I've seen several remarks on here of sisters that have received them and love them.
You crochet them, right? Does it take long to make them?

Each hatThanks Kristin,
Each hat takes about 45 minutes to make and yes they are hand crocheted. I have 64 done right now and I will make 6 more before next week so that I will have 70. I see my onc on the 7th of March at the University of Miami, Sylvester Cancer Treatment Center in downtown Miami. There is a rather large CTU there and I will begin giving my hats away there. Next will be the UM CTU where I took my treatments in Kendall. Lastley I donate to La Liga which is a CTU for people who don't have insurance or the money to pay for their treatments. They are so appreciative there. They all want to touch me or hold my hand to say thank you.
I just love doing this.
I have donated hats twice to Miami Childeren's Hospital CTU. I don't get to see the kids there because they are all immune compromised and I would need their parents permission but the hats I make to go there are all special. I put little lady bugs or frogs or butterflies on them. Or I make the whole hat in fun fur. I also add little buttons with inspirational sayings like "Hope" and such.
Did I mention that I love doing this.
Hugs
Donna
