Leaves and CEA
Hi Pepe, my wife will be using our new blower on the shed roof to blow away all the summer leaves that have completely filled our shed gutters. She only weighs 55 kgs whereas I am nearly 90 kgs. should take about 1 hour. As to me still reeling from todays news of my increased CEA level to 1037 which has doubled in the last 6 weeks. Anyway, hope you have a good weekend and are feeling good today.

Amazon Safari
We are going on a tour of the Amazin. I'm especially interested in catching some big Amazon Pirhana. Supposedly we will have a fish fry right on the bank of the river, fillet our catch and cook them up fresh. Oh I'm also somewhat anxious and excited about our travel to the take-off point. We will start our adventure by skydiving as a group, right into the jungle. I just hope we can land where we are instructed. After all you know the wild life in the Amazon can be somewhat chilling. Seriously, I get my chemo pump detached tomorrow at noon and hope to feel well enough to go to my son's basketball tournament. But you have to admit that my fantasy trip is definetely more interesting. I forgot to mention about mud bath and waterfall ride. :-)

gosh I sure hate to follow Phil and all the amazing things he does.... Pepe at long last the opera is Rigoletto....I have been waiting for this Verdi for a long long time. On Sunday we are out of here....heading for two weeks in Florida and with any luck we will get a little sunshine and a little viatmin D....long dark cold hard winter here....I have run a little ebay business going to the thrift store and then selling stuff....it is lots of work and lots of fun but after the winter weeks I have $1000 to buy 2 tickets to Florida...
I have also been taking swimming lessons at the Y trying to learn the breathing for the front crawl. There is a salt water pool where we are going so if I can just manage not drowning.... I should get some good practice in....
It is a long weekend here in Ontario....called Family Day....going to be bitterly cold but maybe some sun...

in Wisconsin, but ended up home with the flu instead. This weekend, I continue working on recovery. Been sick since Tuesday. Just glad it hit before I left home, so that I wasn't sick in a hotel far from home.
Oh Alice sorry you are sick....chicken soup for you girl.....I was hoping you could get out to the cinema to see Rigoletto from the Met
be well Alice, mags

Okay Mags, I have to admit that your real-life plans are much better than my real-life plans for this weekend. But I do have a rich fantasy trip in the works. :-)
I hope you enjoy the sun and ocean!
God Bless,

You really had me going there for a minute. Certainly nothing wrong with a "fantasy". You and Doc should get together.
Nothing fun planned here.
Mags, so proud of you! You have overcome your fear of flying. Have a great trip.
Hope all enjoy the weekend and your families.
Luv,
Wolfen

Hope to venture to a park south of where we live to view the eagles tomorrow.
Used a pedi and manicure certificate today. Reiki session at our cancer resource center, too.
Have had lots of doctors visits and really trying to catchup on bill's, etc., and "me " time to keep my head in the game.
Florida sounds nice. Enjoy all!0 -

Thanks, Mags. Chicken soup for lunch. Lots of tea, lots of sleep. Oh, and a bit of grumbling thrown in for good measure (tho in the scheme of things, I know that this is minor.)

And when breathing with the front crawl, don't worry about lifting your head. Turn gently (and maybe try opposite sides - breathing every 3rd arm stroke) to keep breathing easy. No need to gulp in the air.
We have a long weekend in the States as well - Presidents' Day Weekend. Back in my youth (oh, so many years ago!) we used to have holidays on Lincoln's birthday (Feb. 12) and Washington's birthday (Feb. 22) regardless of the day of the week. Thus, some years we'd get 2 school/work holidays in Feb., others just one. Then it was changed to the 3rd Monday in Feb. to guarantee a holiday/3-day weekend. Very few of our holidays are celebrated on the date any more.

I am in Ft Myers now and has been windy all day. 20-30 mile hr winds! Hope you bring a jacket, tomorrow night low 37, then it starts to warm up again. So nice to see sunshine, it has been raining a lot in North Georgia. I hope you have a safe trip and enjoy your vacation. I had a great day with my family and we had a great seafood dinner.
