I'm sitting here with my chemo iv. Then home with my pump. The snow is starting, possibly 18 inches. I will be glad to get home (treatment number five).

    Be safe!

And I hope you enjoy the snow.  We are snowless in Seattle this year, and my kids are bummed.  AA

    snow

we are getting battered with wind and snow....at times I can barely seeing across the street.  I so identify with your post.  My sessions with oxy stretched from Dec until June.  Our city gets the no 3 award for most snow in Canada.  My infusions would often go on after the chemo room had emptied....settin there all alone with the nurse until 5 or 6pm watching the snow fly.

sending so many hugs to you....safely home I hope

Thank you, Mags. Yep, I was

Thank you, Mags. Yep, I was the only one left at 2:30. The interstate was fine. It's actually not doing anything up here in Oakland (about 20 miles north of Augusta). Now when I know my kids are where they need to be, I will be content (my pump and me Laughing).

    I remember sitting with my

I remember sitting with my hubby during chemo (infusion area has huge windows facing the parking lot). When we would have bad weather I would sit there looking at everyone hustling and bustling there way around and wonder what they were trying to get to, thinking that they probably want to get to the video store or grocery store before they had to bunker down... I was sitting there praying for GOD to let my husband stay with me. I remember the days of thinking that life was rough before it really got rough... I don't know that I want to be so oblivious to cancer but I would like to have some days when I am not shaking from the inside out.

I sure hope everyone gets where they need to be for the weekend, I hear we have more snow coming to Wisconsin on Sunday.

    GOD's blessings Cool

    ahhh

I remember when I was in treatment I would walk down the street and think..."every single person here is normal except me" I felt isolated, hard done by, like a victim.....happy and grateful too to be receiving treatment.....but mostly I felt different like I stood out like a big capital CCCC was on my forehead.....CANCER

sorry....i know this sounds exaggerated but I really want to assure new peeps and people in treatment....you come out the other side and you feel normal again......well okay maybe not normal.....but sortof cancer normal...Smile

    You are right Mags... you

You are right Mags... you feel like the world is going on without you. I was shocked that the Packer's didn't drop out of the Super Bowl, I mean for heaven's sake I was walking around in a fog feeling like it was the end of our lives; how could they even think about the Super Bowl (dont' worry I am medicated now)???

For those just getting started... your life will be changed but you will be so much more aware of your blessings and eventually you do find a groove/ liveable state of mind.

Keep coming here for support and you will be amazed at what some of our experts can get you through. My husband suffered with a painful problem after his ileostomy reversal; one shot in the dark post and he never had trouble again (I believe it was Marie Who Loves Kitties that gave me the solution on that on).

We're here... you are not alone! Laughing
