Another lump
Hello everyone my mil had a biopsy the other day and the dr said he was sure it was anal cancer but had to wait until the biopsy results came back before he could tell us anything else. we go in the 11th to find out. She just told us tonight that there is another lump in her anal region that was not there before. Should we call the Dr and tell him this or just wait until the appointment. does this mean the cancer is growing or spreading?

I would definitely make that call.
ok thank you. I didnt know if the DR would want to see her because of it or if he would just say wait until her appointment for the biopsy results so he would then know what he was dealing with

Gee, that is quite a long time to have to wait for biopsy results. Your mother in law is lucky to have such a wonderful daughter in law! Hang in there!0 -

Gee, that is quite a long time to have to wait for biopsy results. Your mother in law is lucky to have such a wonderful daughter in law! Hang in there! She had the biopsy on the 25th of jan and he told us to come back on the 11th to find out the results this has all been crazy. it has been going on for 2 months and still we know nothing. we went to a general dr first who said it looked like cancer sent us to a proctologist who said it looked like cancer did a colonoscopy told her he was going to do surgery to remove it never did a biopsy or anything then after the colonoscopy we went back to him for the results colon was clean but he then sent her to a colorectal surgeon who did the biopsy and we still dont know what we are dealing with. this started in Nov when she first told us she had this problem that we thought was hemroids and when they didnt go away i made the appointment for her. it seems to me that we are just getting shuffled from place to place and not getting any answers.

Worriedsick.
That is terrible. I don't think that is good care at all. I hope that you can get your mother in law to a good place for her care. Once I got to the colorectal surgeon, he scheduled the biopsy right away and one week after the results came in, I was in treatment.0
