Good luck with all the tests, I hope nothing is found so you can celebrate happily. I have a group of tests and a scan during the same week, 3 1/2 years,it still gets to me.0 -

Thanx! so much, we have both absorbed much. "It is what it is" though as we both know.
We will be fine as long as our minds are in the right place!

Dave!
Hang in there, man! You are the man with the attitude! Sorry to hear about the SIL's problems. We have some "other family member" stuff going on here as well.
Me, I'm just planning my next bucket list trip, assuming they let me leave town.0 -
Glad you checked in
Sorry you have to leave Florida! You seem to be doing very well. Sorry about your SIL. Is she here in MI? I'm on a six month schedule now. Like to think I'm doing pretty well for someone who was supposed to be a corpse a year ago. (My weird sense of humor). I've even manager to put back 70 of the 50 lbs I lost.
Its cool that you see your onc on the same day that you have the MRI. No waiting weeks for results. I had a bx of esophagus, when I called for results the doc was on two week vacation. Kicked and hollered until another doc read report for me. I refuse to wait three weeks for a report I know can be ready in three days. Barrett's esophagus, original plan was to stretch the esophagus out. This is easier.
Wishing you a clean scan and great reports for the holidays.0 -

Thats funny guys!,...I am about the weight b4 all of this!
I might drive to Fl. in March, I have quite a few contacts so it should be cheap, I like cheap- I mean in-expensive, depends on the scans, I should be good for surgery and rads., but the Chemo takes awhile, I hope thats not the case though.
The latest is they try to do the scans and see the Docs right after, at the minimum I get a call in a couple days good or bad.
Keep the chin up and look straight out !!
Though I am getting Scanxiety !!

Scanxiety can eat you up. I understand why you get it. One thing to think about if you are looking for things to occupy your mind would be to sign up for a treatment advisory board U Mich is putting together. Need to be able to go there once a year and participate on line a few times a year. Time and mileage compensated. I'm doing it. I have some ideas about chemo I am happy to share with them.0 -

Well, MRI reveiled 30% growth on right side, could be cancer or scar tissue from past surgery and/or radiation, until they do an biopsy they dont know. They don't want to do anything, they said wait till next scan in April (ct of the body and mri of the head). I have to think, after seeing MRI, the room is slowly running out on the right side cerebellum !
They said the left side is doing what the radiation is supposed to do. I am going to FLA form Feb 16 through April 2nd !
No symptoms and feeling alright !!
Hope everybody is serene !!
Thanx so much dave !!

My mom is 59, diagnosed last march with stage 2-3 sclc. It was on her broncial and could not be removed. She did radiation and chemo and her last scans showed her cancer on her broncial was gone. During that apt she complained about a lump in her butt. They took biopsy...cancer spread...a week later her stomach hurt and they took scans and those showed a mass in the lining of her stomach and masses in her lung again. Her doctors are stunned that everything came back so quickly after treatment. She starts chemo again tomorrow.
mom swans to live and is fighting...she won't give up. I am pregnant with my first baby. I need mom. She has so much to live for...I know your cancer is non small cell but you seem to be a miracle. Maybe you can give insight.

Hello Raven, tell your mom its all additude, (easier said than done!) let the docs do their thing, i am doing complimentary stuff too, ...then live !...its all she can do....luckly im not discontened with my life. The biggistest thing is know "what you can control and what you can not", then let it go. Chances that you cant control about 90% of any situation. For anyone...being disgruntled, discontented, argumentative and opionated...is no place to be. It just rents space in the head for other good things!
I hope she (and you)..Live well!
