Result
Hi All just wanted to check in since ive not posted since my last post. Took MIL to the coloretal surgeon had a biopsy done yesterday. He said we wouldnt get the results for a week to 10 days but he told me and hubby that he is postive it is anal cancer. I asked him if the biopsy would tell if it had spread anywhere else, and he said hes not worried about that right now this is bad enough. Im not sure how to read that i read it as him saying its pretty bad but hubby didnt read it the same was as i did. Maybe because that wasnt what he wanted to hear. I guess we will have to wait until our appoitment on feb 11 to find out stage and course of action from here on out. My mil smokes like crazy almost 4 pks a day and the dr told her she was killing herself that she had to stop because any sort of treatment they do would not work if she smokes that much. My MIL is a very headstrong woman and we are having to fight her every step of the way here. Its going to be a long hard road thanks everyone for listening

Hi--
I'm glad the biopsy is done and I hope you'll get the results ASAP. If it comes back positive for squamous cell cancer, the next step should be getting a PET scan to determine staging. Then a treatment plan can be done. I know the waiting is the worst. Please know that your MIL and you are in my thoughts and prayers.
