    Pain of a different kind

    Cool tatts everyone!

I have two already. One on my right arm and a mural of sorts all around my left leg/calf. When I figure out how to post pics I'll do so.

Both mine were done after significant struggles in my life. I like the idea of getting another after I get "Jack" out of my body.

    love this thread !

Am enjoying all the tattoo pictures.  I am still thinking about getting one, just not sure of what.  Originally was  going to do the "Rollng Stones" tongue....probably because I lost most of mine, but then thought that wouldn't really speak to all of the other H&N cancers, so if I get one, it would definitely be a ribbon or variation of.

Now I'm thinking it might be a giraffe/ribbon combo.    Love that one your hubby got, Billie.  I was obsessed with giraffes when I was a kid also.    and love the pup...what a cutie.  I know our golden was a great comfort to me when I was going thru treatment.  They just seem to "know" don't they ?

    Also...

Once the picture is inserted, tou can click it and you'll see the sizing squares (little white boxes on each corner of the photo...

click on one and move it to adjust the photo size..., just be aware of the horizontal/vertical movement so you don't have a tall skinny or short fat photo, LOL...

On some web sites, you can just copy the photo and insert it directly into the post.

If you like giraffes then you should get that tattoo, it's so cute! And yes, my little doodle is my baby and my little angel too.

    COOL TATTOO

Hey, Billie, thanks for sharing this, I have to say that I love it!  I may bring a photo of it to my local tattoo art shop, and have one slapped onto my calf.  I think that the giraff is a great H&N official animal representative for us.  Kudos to your husband!

    Tatts

Here's the ink I currently have. After I get through this battle and recover, I have in mind another... First things first though. I have to kick "Jack's" butt!

This was my first tatt. A tribal crucified Yeshua... right arm. To always remind me He is with me.

    tatt

After my 1st heart attack and triple bypass surgery, I had this done. It's a mural of sorts going aroung my left calf. It's a visual testament to my faith.

It started with this Messianic Symbol.

    tatt

I followed that with the Crest of Jerusalem.

    tatt

To join the two on the front of my calf is the Western Wall.

    tatt

On the back of my calf is a prayer shawl.

    tatt

Finally, tied together with the Lord's flame and presence coming from Heaven into the Tabernacle.

    tatt

I love it too! When I fist saw this symbol at my Dr's office I immediately thought "tattoo!"
Our tattoo guy is a Christian man and he said he loves it too. He said he'd do just about any tattoo that someone requests but he loves doing those with more meaning and purpose.
If you decide to get one please post a picture of it :-)

    Tribal Phoenix

They have some pretty cool tribal phoenix that would go good for the other shoulder if it's open.

The phoenix is the traditional cancer tatt for many.

I plan on having something tribal in the future, just haven't made the time or right design yet.

    BTW, I like the Yeshua...

I thought we all had one, just the special ones I guess

    John,

I got the rad tat (or more like a dot).  They used it and my mask every time for the laser light show.  Heck I really do not know what they were doing, but I trusted them.

    Actually...No

I think they used to use the dot a lot, but it's up to the facility and type of rads I presume.

With the IMRT and mask so precisely measured and fitted each session, to millimeters I believe, my facility doesn't do the dot tatt. I've heard others on here say the same...

Some have the dot, some no dot...

    No dot for me
I am dottless! No tattoo for me either but if I were to get one it would be something like my husbands giraffe only much smaller.
