I love your cute hair! You look very chic.
Did your hair come in differently than before? My radiation hair loss is coming in sooooo curly! I have some natural wave but this new hair is crazy curly, kind of fun!

Anyway, looking good girlie!

    You are rocking that hair !  And you look extremely happy in the picture !  Billy when my Mom's came back in it was very curly and thick.  She had less silver in it at 74 then she did at 50.  Love sent to you both !   Katie

    Isn't it funny how this happens? Ok so I was talking with an RN at the onc office and she said they believe that hair comes in curlier for 2 reasons.
    If its due to chemo then they think it's because the chemicals actually warp the follicles and make them curved. If our follicles are straight then our hair will be too but if the follicle is rounded or crooked the hair will come in curly or wavy depending on how warped the follicle has become. Sometimes if people have heavy hair it will straighten the follicle out in time and eventually the hair will become straighter. If not, the curls may last forever.
    If the hair loss is caused by radiation they believe that the follicle gets literally fried and singes. The follicle then gets curved too.

    It's funny I have mostly straight and wavy hair but this chunck a the base is so dang curly. It looks funny if I wear my hair up, haha

    I was praying for curly hair to come back....but noooooo....stick straight but way thicker.  Everytime I'd go to my hair gal I'd say cut it a little shorter, till now it's as short as most of the guys around here.

    My friend's mother had straight hair before, but now after chemo for breast cancer her hair is growing completely curly.

    your new doooo~~~it matches what I percieve as your personality, fun, hip and a little crazy!!! I've always had really curly hair, mind you I never had Chemo or radiation, but lost a lot of hair...now it's come back so curly it's crazy...I have people stopping me at places like Meijer and asking where I got my perm....:)

    Great you have a new do to go with the new normal. Jim's hair came in pretty much the same, maybe a bit thicker. Lately though his grey is going away. Do not know if it is the Jevity or the chemo but he is happy.

    All you folks have done wonders

    for my confidence!!  I was terrified to get my hair cut really short....all face and ears...that's what I thought I'd look like....LOL.  On the other hand I'm pretty lazy when it comes to hair....and this is a snap....wash it, let it dry....put some goop in it, and mess it up....the only thing easier would be totally bald...YIKES!!  I won't go that far.

    John....I howled when I saw that pic!!

    I'm still laughing! 

    T....you might just come out of this with a thick mass of curly dark hair....ya never know what the chemo will do.
