Jennifer, how long have you been on Votrient? It's been almost two years now since your original op. so your Family will be happy to see you up and at it. I reckon the IL2 will have set you up to benefit well from Votrient, particularly since I seem to remember you did fine on Sutent and the side-effects on Votrient are much gentler than on Sutent - are you finding it so? Are your kids all taking your situation in their stride. I'm guessing they are and are helping to keep you buoyed up.
Hey Tex,
I'm on my second month of Votrient. The side effects are SO much easier than Sutent. I'm doing well, but the IL-2 treatment was brutal, and set me back quite a bit. I feel like I'm just getting back into the swing of things. And, yes, my kids have definitely helped with that. Can't help but stay on top of things with three kids.
We switched our insurance to a ppo so ill be looking into clinical trials soon. I'm waiting until my next scan to get going on that. So, fingers crossed that Votrient does the job. My doctor mentioned glass bead therapy for my liver met that they do at Stanford. But I need to find out everything that's available and go from there. There seem to be so many options now! Which is great...

LOAO!!!
Virtue and lawyer in the same sentence. Can't wait for Gary to check in. . .
Lawyer And The Virgin
A lawyer married a woman who had previously divorced ten husbands.
On their wedding night, she told her new husband, "Please be gentle, I'm still a virgin."
"What?" said the puzzled groom, "How can that be if you've been married ten times?"
"Well, Husband #1 was a sales representative, he kept telling me how great it was going to be.
Husband #2 was in software services, he was never really sure how it was supposed to function, but he said he'd look into it and get back
to me.
Husband #3 was from field services, he said everything checked out diagnostically but he just couldn't get the system up.
Husband #4 was in telemarketing, even though he knew he had the order, he didn't know when he would be able to deliver.
Husband #5 was an engineer, he understood the basic process but wanted three years to research, implement, and design a new state-of-
the-art method.
Husband #6 was from finance and administration, he thought he knew how, but he wasn't sure whether it was his job or not.
Husband #7 was in marketing, although he had a nice product, he was never sure how to position it.
Husband #8 was a psychologist, all he ever did was talk about it.
Husband #9 was a gynecologist, all he did was look at it.
Husband #10 was a stamp collector, all he ever did was... God! I miss him! But now that I've married you, I'm really excited!"
"Good," said the new husband, "but, why?"
"You're a lawyer. This time I know I'm gonna get screwed!"0 -

"You're a lawyer. This time I know I'm gonna get screwed!"Five surgeons from big cities are discussing who makes the Best
patients to operate on.
The first surgeon, from New York, says, 'I like to see accountantson my operating table because when you open them up, everything
inside is numbered.'
The second, from Chicago, responds, 'Yeah, but you should tryelectricians! Everything inside them is color coded.'
The third surgeon, from Dallas, says, 'No, I really think librariansare the best, everything inside them is in alphabetical order.'
The fourth surgeon, from Los Angeles chimes in: 'You know, I likeconstruction workers...Those guys always understand when you have
a few parts left over.'
But the fifth surgeon, from Washington , DC shut them all up whenhe observed: 'You're all wrong. Politicians are the easiest to operate on.
There's no guts, no heart, no balls, no brains, and no spine..Plus, the head and the **** are interchangeable.'

Could you try again? I wasn't able to see any of them - you might want to get some technical help from Alice who seems to have led the way into using the new facilities.

Hey David,
Thanks for the cheering.
I'm behind in my reading on Board and don't know how you are planning to treat lung nodules. Has that been determined? I tried searching for it but was unsuccessful.
Alice,
I have my PET scan tomorrow (Tuesday) and I meet with the thoracic surgeon on Thursday. I was supposed to have the scan last week but canceled due to the snow that moved through here. 2.5 hours each way in heavy snow in the south is not a good thing. So, no new news here. I sure hope to have a plan by the end of the week. Thanks for asking.
Congratulations on your retirement! Enjoy!

Mine was a simple cut and paste job. But I noticed it didn't last too long. I'll play with it though.
