MRI
Hi ladies I had my 1st MRI yesterday and I am very nervous waiting for the results. It seems like time is just crawling. I am keeping my toes and fingers crossed and hoping and praying that my results are good. How did/do others deal with the waiting for resresults
Hope everyone is doing well
Thanks
Patricia

Pick Up The Results
I go to the Medical Records Department where my tests were done and pick up a copy of the results. The results belongs to you as you paid for them. They are easy to read and it eliminates anxiety. When my doctor does call or the nurse, I know the results and I am planning the next step, if there is a next step.
Best,
Doris

It is normal to be upset and anxious for any results for any test. Just look at all we go thru in our fight with bc.
I will be praying that you will get good results.
Be sure and let us know when you find out.

My onc usually calls me with
My onc usually calls me with the results, and then he emails me a copy of the report. That way I can ask him any questions I might have. If I ask, he'll show me the pictures on the computer too.
As for how to get through the waiting...I use distraction. I do something with my family or I get stuff done. It helps when I do something that occupies my mind so that I can push the worries away.
Let us know how the MRI turns out. I hope it's all clear.
Hugs,
Linda

My oncolotist's office does email me the results and I also request a copy of the test results and the doctor's office notes, but, I can't get them same day as he has to dictate them first. He is pretty busy, but, I don't mind waiting a day or two.

I get mine on line usually the same day, then when the doctor calls I am ready with questions, or waiting for his suggestion. I feel like Doris, they are my tests, and after all I have been through, there are not too many surprises.
I am with the others in praying for good news!

Hi ladies I still have not heard anything. I sent an email off to the Drs office today, but probably will not hear anything until Monday. I will do what was suggested which is to keep myself busy, and my mind on something different. I just have to remember what my grandmother used to say no news is good news. I certainly hope so. Hope everyone is doing ok

I hope the news is good.I know how bad waiting is. I've recently had my docs office to be slow on my blood work.Don't know why??? I then think it was good and it wasn't.Ticked me off. This is not the norm for this office. Why I never called to bug them.I will from now on though. So keep bugging them and say "my test was done this day and I haven;t heard anything yet".Call them.

I hate when we have to wait for any news. I don't think they realize at all how tense we get. Hoping you will get the news soon. Post when you can.
