    My name here I drew from my past. My family lived on the Mojave Desert in Southern California in the 1960s for a few years. I also was looking for something that might be a little different. I am not a girlie-girl, and so I did not want anything that sounded too fru-fru. I wanted something that sounded solid and down to earth.

    Born in th  50's, every girl was a Carol, Linda, Debbie or Sue - at least  everyone I knew. According to my mother, I was named after her favorite doll. When I was born, the Dr said " it's a Susie Q" and mom said "that's just what I'm going to name her. So Susan, Susie or Sue - I answer.

     

    On here, I used my initials, dropped a few vowels from my maiden name & added my birth year. Viola!

    I saw this post and thought it was not only interesting, but, gives a little more info on everyone.  My name is Rose and the pink is for bc.  Pretty simple actually the way I picked my name on this site.  I have to say though when I joined, I was kind of stressed trying to figure out what to put and then pink rose just came to me.  It must have been that cancer brain everyone talks about.  LOL

    I love this post and always take a quick peek at it when I'm on to see the new posts!  It is really interesting and imaginative how some chose their name on here. 

    It really gives some insight to each pink sister!  I hope to read lots more new ones!

    The reason I wanted to be very anonymous was because sometimes employers have come here to find out about their employees health. I know this has happened to at least one person who came to this site. Given that we are living in hard times I do not want it to be easy for an employer to find me here and be able to find out whether I am a liability to them as far as continuing to provide me health insurance. It sounds cruel but it does happen. So you also will never see a real picture of me on this site either.

    I had no idea that an employer would come on this site to see if their employee was here.  That's almost creepy and not right.  Ofcourse, I had never thought of that either. 

    I do know that one pink sister on here had a friend, or ex friend now, that came on here and read her posts, as she had her picture on here and told everyone what she had written.  It was suppose to be private, but, anyone that has a computer can come on this site and read what you write.

    Thanks for reminding us laughs a lot.

    As for my screen name BlazinTrails:  Well I trail ride to enjoy life and ride where no man has ever been.  It gives me a sense of freedom, partnership, and to appreciate the simple things of GOD'S COUNTRY and its beauty it holds.

    I just saddle up and go!

My middle name has been the middle name of the 1st girl since my great grandmother. My grand daughter has the same middle name but the Hawaiian version.

    I rarely see you anymore Stef.  How are you and your husband?  I know he had some health issues and hope he is doing well now.
