extreme pain when trying to have sex
Hi, I went through chemo and radiation during my treatments for breast cancer in 2011. Then in 2012 I was pretty sick with infections from reconstruction that had gone wrong. I felt so tired so during that time I had no interest in having sex. My husband is very loving and did not have a problem about it. Now that that is all over with, and we want to have sex, I can not because the pain is so extreme when he even tries to put his penis in. It is as though my vagina has strunk to a very small size or something. Anyways, asked my genogologist what I could do about it, she had prescribed a Eulong ring to help to mosterize the area' It still hurts really bad when I tried with that. Now she as given me some cream to take too. My question is has anyone else here gone though this? If so, what helped you? I feel so bad for my husband, for I know he needs sex, yet he has been so wonderful and does not want to hurt me. I sure hope that there is some type of cure for the pain. Maybe the cream will help. I sure hope so.

Hope this helps!
Adding a lubricant may help, but I don't have great suggestions about how to solve your issue. Not wanting to get into TMI, I think many women have this problem as they age. At the risk of sounding like Dr. Ruth, don't forget that vaginal intercourse is not the only way to have a satisfying sexual relationship.

Estring
I used a product called "Estring" recommended by my gynecologist and approved by my oncologist. It was a prescription and worked very well. It was a vaginal ring inserted for 3 months, before a new one needed. I am ER+ and the ring means estrogen ring. It gives lubrication where it is needed.
Wishing you the best,
Doris

Yup, I believe that is what they call it. I don't know the ingredients. As always for us, we need to check with our dr.s to see what is safe for us to use.

I remember that tread of "I want my MOJO back" and I remember the scream cream too. Don't know what is in it either?
