PET scan today - results

So far, I had a ultrasound with mammo of lymph nodes last Wednesday. Nodes are normal, thank God. Had port put in Friday, PET scan today, MUGA Wednesday and start chemo Thursday.

 

I have learned that I am triple negative. My last cancer in 2010 was ++-

 

The one today, I am terrified of. While I'm not normally

hypocondriac, I can't help but obsess about every little ache and pain. My test results are available on line in real time. Should I look at them? I am already getting my head wrapped around the possibility of a MX.

My onco called to apologize on the behalf of the medical center for the failure of the system. She said new protocols are being put into place and this matter is being reviewed by the administration. Please see my post on "Scarred Sh**less"

    If I could see any of my test

    If I could see any of my test results online, I know I would look, but, that is just me.  Cindy, good luck with your tests and post to let us know what you do find out.

    PET scan

    All went well.  I also hated the carb free diet, especially in that I had a case of the 24 hour flu on Saturday night, and the last thing I wanted Sunday was meat. 

    The tech said that I fell asleep during the PET.  Probably snored.

    Results came on line at 7:30 last night.  The only thing I could decipher was there was nothing in my bones.  The rest is like "blah blah blah"  Will have to wait till my onco calls or I see her on Thursday.

    I forgot to write down everything, apparently what the test results mean.  I have my result papers and also on line results.  I will see my onco tomorrow and write down specifics.

    Well, saw onco today.  She said there is no indication that cancer has spread.  It is localized in the breast.  So, I'm happy.
