Greta or CSN Admin., there are a lot of new problems with the new updates - Please HELP!

    "My Friends" are back

    but old email conversations are still gone.  Can they be restored?

    Hello greta,

     I wish CSN and ACS could invest in more Powerful Server. It has been very very slow. No any improvement from previous situation.

    Security is another problem. The new version seems to be very weak, worse than previous. In addition to spamming open board now they can inter personal pages.

    Still no spellcheck and old messages have not been restored.

    Honestly, I am ready to give up and stop any donations to ACS

    It is very slow still and sometimes impossible to get on the site.  None of my favorites are back yet and you can't add friends at all. 

    The spammers are worse than ever now and are doing more than I think they could before. 

    I wish you could remove all of the new updates you did and put it back to the way it was before.

    Looks like they corrected a few things, but, not everything.  I've heard nothing from them and I have sent them mail about all of the problems. 

    Like you Angie, I wish they would remove the new updates and bring the old site back. Undecided

    Extremely Slow

    I have never encountered a board that is as slow as this one.  It makes you not want to waste your time posting.

     

    Needs fixing it is the 8th and now it's been enough time to fix at least the slownest.

    I miss being able to come here.

    It takes at least a full five minutes every time I try to enter the site - if I can get in at all. I hope you can help. I really miss being able to come here. Sometimes I just can't get in at all due to the slowness.

    Greta, my messages are still gone and I would like them back please.  My favorites are gone and I had a lot of very important information saved for me and for others.  This site crawls along and I don't know why your programmers can't fix this.  What is taking so long?

    So much trouble logging in, no favorites, can't add any new friends or see if they are online and none of my messages from anyone are still here.

    It is so hard to get on and

    It is so hard to get on and respond.  Just wondering if it will get any better?  Right now, I can hardly ever log and posting a response is just as bad.  Praying that this will get fixed?!

    Hours upon hours it is still impossible to get 'here'!  Sometimes even when able to get here - it 'disappears'.  A few days weee understandable buyt this is over 2 weeks!  Also this is not some small 'private' site' but a MAJOR organization that seems to be unconcerned.

    When I CAN get in, I hope it has been fixed, but, I see it hasn't yet.  Losing hope that it ever will and not hearing any response from CSN is making it even more frustrating to all of us.

    One thing I am going to do is besides emailing on here to the tech support team to help, I am going to the main American Cancer Society site and contacting them.  Maybe someone at the headquarters will help us. 

    I have no idea why they thought we needed smilies, font sizes and font styles.  It's a support cancer group, not facebook.

    And especially the part about survivors needing help, hope and compassion.  I've been a member of csn for 2 1/2 years and it's just been part of my routine to touch base on a daily basis.   I now feel I have something to offer - and that's hope and experience to those going through treatments.   It is nearly impossible now.  I either can't get on (can't connect), can't access a post (can't connect), or can't post (??).  And it's not just about the process being slow, it's impossible much of the time.

    PLEASE fix this.  It has been an on-going problem, but now is much much worse.

    I've sent messages to CSN on here and have gotten no response to any of them, but, I will keep doing it.  Surely someone will post to update us as to if they're going to fix the site or not.

    I still am missing my emails from the site and hope they can get them back.  I don't like the font famiy, size or the smilies.  I see no need for those changes and wonder who did.

    If someone, Greta or another person that works on this site would at the least, let us know they are working on it, it would much appreciated.

    Sometimes I can get on the site, but, most of the time, it is really hard to.

     

    Please just communicate with us!

    Still no emails or favorites (sigh )  And, no response from anyone that is supposed to be taking care of the site.

    The smilies, I agree are dumb, and the big font..what is this anyway?  I thought it was a cancer site that was for cancer survivors, not children acting cute with the smilies. 

    Sorry, but, that's how I feel.
