Chemo for cancer
I am going to begin Cisplatin and Gemcitabime chemo shortly. I have recurrent ureter cancer, which
is treated like bladder cancer. Any info on this chemo treatment is appreciated. In April 2012, the ureter and kidney
were removed and we observed my situation.

My dad did a series of carbo/Gem. He finished up about 6 weeks ago. He's quite old (80) and this is his 2nd time with CA. The first was esophogeal.
He came out of that with flying colors. That was 4 yrs. ago. This time it's stg. 4 bladder - found too late, no surgery but was on these meds. They are "mild" toxicity compared to the others. He only fely quesy and tired. Didn't lose hair (per se)...just drained with a little bit of an upset stomache at first. It got progressively worse but you need to remember he never had surgery, he was weak to begin with, elderly and "unfit" is the term they use. Seems you have more going for you. It's far better than MVAC with the same results...Do well. I need to post now because I myself have an issue but wanted to get to you first.
Be blessed!
