Vitamix? Is it worth the price?

I am seriously considering purchasing a vitamix. I want to hear from those who have used them. Both positive and negative comments.
Thanks,
Carla

HI CARLA
We had a Vitamix back in 1976 or 77 and loved it. I don't know if it is the same now, but probably even better. The motor is virtually indestructible. Not only does it blend, but ours could make soup, crush ice, etc. Sounds like an expensive blender, but as I said it is a high quality motor. Ours was a nice, heavy-duty stainless steel. My daughter just got me a Ninja blender/juicer/breadmaker for Christmas. I'm anxious to try it out!
Good luck with your decision!
