    RIP Sweet Kat
    As someone said, Kat was one in a million. I don't think I've ever met anyone as giving and thoughtful as she was. She is truly my hero - if I can be half the person she was, I'd be happy. She was an angel here on earth and is now an Angel in Heaven. We will always love you sweet Kat.

    Yesterday I sent a private message to Katrina via her Facebook account. I addressed it to her family, knowing her brother was watching over her account. I posted a link to this post for the family to see how much we pinks are mourning our baby sister Kat. Moments ago I noticed the link posted on Katrina's wall. Her family and friends are reading our messages... They hear us....

    I figured when there was no update that things had turned the wrong way. Kat was so very young to have been hit with this awful disease. Should have had her whole life ahead of her, finishing college, marrying, having children, a career and even old age. All so cruelly robbed from her. She suffered so long, was so darn brave in her battle with breast cancer.

    It makes me weep to see someone like her die. I wish Komen would stop celebrating the 70% and stop adding all the money raised "for a cure" on awareness and administration. Why? After 30 years, can't they at least find something to stop the ravages of this disease, especially in the very young. It is so frustrating to see them year after year, die. Oh Kat, how I had wish you could have made it. Could have won...

    It must have been so very hard for her folks and family to watch her waste away with this disease. My sincere condolences to them. They had a beautiful, courageous daughter.

    Kat was a breathe of fresh air, a young courageous lady that inspired each and every person that ever met her.

    That was a great idea Lorrie. I'm glad they know how much she meant to so many... If we are this heartbroken, I cannot even imagine how they must feel. My prayers go out to her family daily.

    No words can describe the
    No words can describe the loss of Kat, a young, beautiful, brave sister. We could all use a little of her and we'd be a better person.


    I will be praying for her family and I am praying for all of us to get thru this loss.
