Barb, many hugs are coming your way, lucky your friend was there with you and things are being looked after.
Healing thoughts and prayers I send you.
Hugs, Marjan
Thank you all.
My neurosurgeon believes the tumors is encapsulated and may be a met from recital cancer.
I really had no pre -symptoms except a quick autos of not feeling well firing the day for a brief couple of seconds.
I am awaiting the plan attack for a regrowing liver tumors that regrew where it was removed and another smaller one has grown on opposite side. My lung module did not light up on recent pet scan. Only the liver tumors. Its somewhat confusing how this is coming about.
The oncologists here are speaking with my oncologist at Northwestern but I don't know how this will affect treatment timing for the liver down the road.
My appetite had returned and going back to work :-(.
I am trying to put it in perspective but am kind of down.
My neurosurgeon did time at Sloan and MD Anderson and feels the tumors is small and I will have a good outcome. He will do an MRI on the tumor once incision is open. We just built this special imris room for these procedures.
Thank you for your thoughts. I will update when I can. At least the tumors is small.0 -

Surgery all donebarbebarb said:Thanks for the hug
Hope I 'll hear from her.
It is kind of a shock-have faith in my neurosurgeon but I am worried about the whole picture.
It is small and encapsulated and will follow with radiation.
Surgery is Friday.
Out of ICU and in a regular room. Only needed tylenol for pain.
Tumor is related to colon cancer. Will possibly know chemo plan on Wed., from oncologist at NW. Radiation will be needed.
I am very overwhelmed with fear at the moment. My last pet scan showed uptake at the spot where liver tumorwas removed and grew back. No light up on lung nodule.
Thank you for all your support.

Hi Barb,
Good to hear that you're not in much pain, but so sorry that you had to go through this in the first place. Rest up, and send us an update again soon.
Take care, hugs (())

Happy to hear it's over and that it went well. Try not to be scared. You're a strong woman and you will handle whatever treatment you and your docs decide on. Wish you didn't have to go through any of this.

Appreciate all your well wishes.
My teletubby bandage is off - only one small tumor and it had a wet sandy texture. Neurosurgeon feels radiation would be next but must connect with my oncologist at N. Western. I am concerned about the liver tumor that has grown back since I haven't had chemo since 8/1. Ugh...
Will go home tomorrow.
Trying to tell myself each surgery may buy me NED....
Hope you are all getting your Christmas wrapping and preparations completed.
My daughter wants to get a cat that is up for adoption. We had to put our Sheltie down two weeks ago.
Thank you for all your love and support.

Get to wash my whole head tomorrow and boy do I have a punk look.
Its amazing how we accept, adapt, and adore all at the same time when we observe and have to deal with whatever cancers throws at us.
All of the folks on this board are amazing and keep me fighting!
Merry Christmas!!!!!
I am lucky again to be here after a seizure.....
