G'day mate
I'm glad today was a good day for you. Nice to see you drop in to say Hi. see you are still using your favourite picture:). I saw my grand daughter a couple of weeks ago. It was her first birthday party. My daughter in law baked her a pretty pink cake. It was all hers .They put it down on a towel and let her at it. It was fun to watch. She wore a very serious expression whilst she demolished the cake. Best whishes for January. Hugs ron.0 -
hello Helen!!!!
Glad to hear you are going back to work---working helps in countless ways beyond the paycheck.
Congratulations for finishing the chemo and radiation--not easy stuff, but you DID it!
Good luck in January and I'll look forward to your next post.
Take care,

Update
Thanks so much for the update. Glad you are feeling up to going back to work. Don't overdo going back to work though as it can creep up on you. Thanks again for checking in. Bet that little one isn't so little anymore - they grow up so fast.

Hey Ron! I would never have thought of giving a one year old a cake to demolish, what a good idea! I bet the pictures are hysterical. Kids get so serious when they're destroying things. Glad you got to go to her party. Grandkids are the absolute best. My grandson is the light of my life. He thinks grandma is his personal clown and I live up to that reputation. He laughs the minute he sees me.
I'm not one for updating pics. I've had the same pic on my facebook for close to two years. Usually one day in the summer I think I should update these pics and then I do. It just sort of strikes me at the moment.0 -

Hey Tommy, well I didn't make it back to work this week but I did finish! Had some pain as the doctor predicted so now I'm aiming for next Thursday Hope all is going well with you. I'm trying to catch up again tonight by reading some more posts. The first one was about a clean scan so that's a great way to start!0 -

Thanks for the prayers. I have a very large prayer circle going for everyone. I'm excited to be pain free so I can have a few weeks off. Hopefully this pain will go away within a week as predicted by the doc.0 -

Thanks Jeff, me too! Praying really hard for stage III. I didn't make it back to work but hopefully next week things will be better. Can't sit at all so it'll have to wait. Meanwhile I'm reading a good mystery to keep busy.0 -

Hey Kim, well you predicted the future because it creeped up on me! lol I had to put off going back to work because the burning got worse as the week progressed. I'm trying for next week instead. Really I'm just playing it by ear as we all are. The little one is almost 5 months old, cute as a button. He was a lion for Halloween and my daughter had pictures taken at Kids R Us. Very cute but then I'm jaded! Hope you have a happy and of course healthy!! New Year!0 -

Sandy:)Hey Sand, thanks! Didn't make it back to work bc radiation obliterated my hemerrhoids (I just can't sit down at all) which I got when I had these strapping young boys, Elijah and Joshua. Elijah is 15 and Josh is 13. The poor kid is almost 6 feet tall (he's the one in the cap) and wears a size 14 shoe. That was us at our annual family picnic which my cousin and I run. We usually get around 60 people every year. My daughter is 24 and she's the one with my grandbaby who is now 5 months old.
Congratulations on finishing your chemo. It's so nice not to have to take pills or travel for treatments. The radiation was a pain in the butt literally but also figuratively since it required daily travel. Glad that part is behind me, no pun intended=) Boy you could make a million puns out of this stuff.

Glad this part is finished. You will heal each day.
Work sure helps to make us have some normalcy and routine again!
Keep us posted on your plan.
Love your great sense of humor.
I am facing radiation and a little nervous with new plans. I know how grateful I need to be but all the rethinking and "stay positive " coaching is challenging.
We have a cat now so I am counting on him to pal with me and stay calm.
Wishing you the best - Barb0
