    appts - surgery next wed
i have had my appt with my gyno oncologist. wonderful dr. spent the last week checking every organ to make sure it didn't come from there. Past everything okay, blood markers okay, colonoscopy ok, pelvic cat scan oaky. today had abdominal cat/lung cat and i think i have covered all body parts.
i have surgery (full hyster) next wed, freaking out a bit. will get the results from abdominal cat scan and if okay they are getting closer to feeling that it came from the uterus. As long as no major surprises on Monday from cat surgery stays as planed
If anyone has any great advice re the hysterectomy that would be great. The plan is to use the Divinci robot.

Sisters three, how are you doing? i know i am basically going crazy in circles typically organized and not so much now. I did buy a juicer seeing you were juicing, can you share some of what you are juicing. i did get the anti cancer book and
    foods to fight cancer books.

How is your husband doing? does he have his surgery soon. Both of you are in my thoughts.

Good luck with your surgery. I had the DaVinci surgery. I went home the day after surgery. There was minimal pain. I gradually increased my walking after I got home, and recovered quickly. Waiting for the pathology report was the worse part. Unfortunatelly I had UPSC stage 3-C so the doctor talked about the need for chemo the day after surgery. I hope you have good resuts from you CAT scan. In peace and caring.

    Yeah!!! Your back!
It sounds to me like you have a good team on your side! Great news of all the organs being cleared!!!! Things are a little slower on my side. Not really the docs fault. My husbands surgery is scheduled for the 17th. Scary stuff but he has an exceptional heart surgeon. He will be in the hospital for aprox
5 to 7 days. my surgery is scheduled for Jan 7th, that is if he is well enough for me to go through with it. My house is hilarious with the two of us pushing the other one in front of the line for this and that.

Anyway, my ct scan is next Friday. I have met my new GYN/ONC and she seems great. She will look at the CT scan and I meet with her on the 28th
For the results. She says she will also do the Di Vinci that is if my Uterus will fit through my vagina (this is a totally bazaar conversation!) If it is too large due to tumors she will open me up because she said some doctors would slice it up and pull it through but she won't due to possibly spreading cancer cells inside my body. That sounds reasonable. I truly believe your surgery is going to go well, and you will be on your feet within 24 hours like RO said.

I will send you what I have been juicing in the morning. I'm really tired right now.

I hope all of you sleep well tonight!!!!!!

    Juice
Green Juice trying to drink 16 ounces a day (this is hard, it takes a lot of veg's to drink that much) all organic if I can
    Kale
    celery
    3 diff lettuces
    A small amount of cabbage
    Green pepper
    Broccoli

Now I will also add for another 8 to 16 ounces if I have the time and the extra veg's (a v-8 tasting juice)
    Tomatoes
    Small amount of beets
    Celery
    Kale

Here is where you see controversy
I also once a day drink carrot/apple juice
There is a bunch of info about sugar feeding cancer, all I'm trying to do here is get some nutrition that I haven't been used to getting.
I want to keep healthy and not drop weight for my surgery. The Doc was very clear to me, DO NOT go home and go to extremes on any
Cancer diet before surgery. Your health is good now and I want it to stay that way .....don't make my job hard by getting sick through some
Weird dietary changes!!!!!! So with that being said, I am trying to just add nutrition to my body. I have also started some supplements. some the ladies here have suggested, which I looked up and are on track with a lot of the research, some I have gotten on my own.

COQ10. Which I used to take years ago but stopped for some stupid reason
A Turmeric & Bromelain mix capsule At night
a Liquid Tumero Active w black pepper at night I just found this the other day at my health food store
Once a day mixed with water vitamineral Green version 5.2 (this is a greens supplement that tastes like sweet grass) kinda yucky

I then eat a balanced diet with more veg's, fruits and lean meat. Ta da, nothing crazy. After surgery and after finding out EVERYTHING I'm
    fighting then we will see.

thanks for the recipe. i will take the juicer out of the box and give it a whirl. You are lucky you are in North Carolina as maybe it is warmer than here in CT. I am praying for your husband, but am glad he has a great dr. That really matters.
interesting question on the uterus with a tumor. They haven't said i have a tumor so maybe it will fit. They haven't discussed stage or anything because they needed to make sure it wasn't coming from anywhere's else. the cancer cells didn't start looking like a uterus. I have had every cat scan possible = pelvic, Abdomen, chest and a colonoscopy. I know the rest of my body is clear which is nice. I can tell you when you have these tests you start to just loose weight from the fasting! My biggest fear is having to go through chemo. Guess we will cross that bridge when they tell me what they see next Wed.
i have also been trying to make changes in my life for the better. started eating much better and going after the organic produce. Guess as a mom of two and primary wage earner I mistakenly put myself last. Now I am learning to put myself closer to the top.

the last two days to keep myself focused I have been cleaning my kitchen, the spice cabinet, the food pantry, and now the refrigerator/freezer. Wild hugh, i did this before I gave birth twice. Maybe it has something to do with the hysterectomy.

tomorrow it might be in the upper 50's here so I am hoping to do something fun outside, how about you? doing anything special for yourself?

    House cleaning
It's great your getting your house in order, with surgery in two days you will be taking it easy for a while. Now that the house is clean less worries on your end. I agree with always putting myself at the bottom. That is something I will work on to make sure I get the same consideration as others in my life. I think the biggest thing other than eating better is trying to get the exercise planned in to everyday. That can be a tough one. No more just weekend walking or yard work, I have to go for the hour a day route. if I don't hear back from you HYBRIDSPIRITS I'm praying your surgery goes well and you have a quick recovery!
    Take care!

Thanks for the kind words tomorrow we have the hysterectomy. hope Mr DeVinci gets a good night sleep! I need him rested as we have a big day together. Sisters three i can't believe my hardest chore has been packing my bag. You would think. off to work for a 1/2 day and one last ultrasound they want to do. So far every cat scan and xray and colonoscopy has been negative so let's all pray that my body can get it's act in order and give the information they need to beat this. tomorrow is 12/12/12 the last time time will see it all equal. hope that means good luck.

exercise and treating ourselves. yes that is hard. But you are right we need to make that commitment to ourselves what kind of exercise you like to do?

the next time you will hear from me will be post op! take care and do something nice for yourself, you deserve it!

Hey Hybrid hoping your home and cozy!!!!!,
I'm hoping you have had a successful surgery and your clean of all ugly cells! When you feel like it give us all an update, I'm sure you will be riding that bike in 6 weeks!!!!!

We are all in a tizzy here, getting ready for hubby's surgery Monday am and FINALLY get a CT scan tomorrow am. It seems like forever I have known I had cancer but not how far it has gone. Of course the scan is on a Friday so that means maybe I will hear something by Tuesday. Here's to hoping I have photogenic insides!!!!!!

    Everyone sleep well!!!!!!!!

thanks for all the prayers and kind words. Surgery went well. Had the robotic surgery and I feel blessed for that. I was home in less than 12 hrs after the surgery was done. (5PM on Wed and discharged at 3PM on Thursday) awesome. Everyone was right about the robotic. I just came back from a 1 1/2 hr walk outside (resting along the way of course). each day you are so much better. I should have my final pathology report next Monday/Tuesday. So as we are all learning waiting is a now a new skill I have acquired.

( I will give one advice on the surgery, bring your own gas-x or something similar as the hospital might give you something very weak like they did for me. Once I got the gas-x at home it was day and night with gas and my entire disposition)

I have started reading the anti cancer book, a definite book to purchase and read.

Sisters three, my thoughts and prayers are with you for your Husband's surgery on Monday. I will check in early next week to see how you made out with the cat scan and how your husband is doing. Till then keep doing nice things for yourself

talk to all later, and guys without the support I have had from this group I wouldn't have such a positive attitude towards beating this. Thanks so much all!

So glad it went well and you are feeling good. I had the same experience last March. Remember, it was still a major assault on your body and you need to take good care of it as it heals. Don't overdo.
