Shopping
Oh my goodness shopping is not my favorite. I'll do anything to keep from shopping (my husband loves that). Jewelry is always a good choice for wife. My husband says I've got too much jewlery so now I'll only ask for a bathrobe and jammies. But love both of those. He spoils me though in other ways. Christmas is a time for family and friends and although now we do little for each other we still enjoy Christmas eve opening up the underware and jammies. Oh how boring we have become LOL.

I am getting better with my
I am getting better with my iPhone. Pepe, jewelry is always good. As for me I m staying at home this weekend. People at work are getting sick and I need my rest before I go home for Christmas. This year we are expecting about 20 people. Mom is relinquishing duties to my sister and I. I have finally grown up! It took 43 years. She wants us to start some new traditions. So I am bringing a Buche de Noel (Yule log) and home made cheese balls! I know I will be busy when I go home. It is like resting to play on the
World Cup with the way we prepare for Christmas.0 -
I like the heart necklace
I like the heart necklace suggestion, and maybe a gift certificate for an hour massage and manicure.0 -

We're going to his company's Christmas party - economy must be getting better, they haven't had a party for a few years. Sorry, Pepe, no suggestions come to mind, lots of good ideas from others though.
Pepe I like Pete's suggestion, how naughty!!! Well......the antibiotics I've been on have had ZERO affect on my infection....dentist saw me yesterday and said I needed to go to hospital to get I.V. anti-biotics....she got on the phone and called the hospital!!! Soooooo....every six hours I have to have an infusion of anti-biotics...Had one last night at hospital and early this a.m.....I asked if homecare could come and do it.....I'm sitting at hospital with a bunch of sick people with flu, not good....they said yes...so.....right now the infection is starting to show signs of shrinking....yesterday it was the size of a golf ball on my jaw.....0 -
Think About This...
To be honest with you, Pepe...both of you already "have it all."
Every week, it's family, friends, dinner and a cinema, with an opera for dessert.
I could tell you what part of that body to tie that ribbon around if you want me to...nothing says Xmas better than a good old fashioned "yule log."
You can even stuff her stocking with it:)

Wrapping gifts
I hope to get most of the Christmas gifts wrapped this weekend. This year the adults in the family will be doing a gift exchange rather than trying to come up with ideas for each person. While that cuts down on the gifts, I still have 7 grandchildren and 2 greatnieces who will be getting multiple packages. Watching the children open their gifts is part of what makes my day.
As for your wife...heart jewlery always makes a special statement...bracelet or necklace or earrings. If it is made with gems, all the better! lol
On Friday I will be spending it with my sister while she gets her first chemo treatment, so I will be taking my crocheting with me to work on my latest project.
Wishing all here an easy and enjoyable weekend.
Hugs,
Marie who loves kitties0 -
Enjoying CEA Results and a New Job
Just got latest results. CEA at 0.7 (last reading was 0.8) so I am thrilled. Scans in Sept were all clear. Colonoscopy scheduled for 1/14 with next scans in March. I also start a new job on Monday. I need to Christmas shop too. I am trying to enjoy each minute of every day since they are now gifts!0 -

You make me laugh Craig. Maybe Pepe will take you up on your suggestion0 -
I'm with the girls
jewelry and spa package. Craig's suggestion made me think of one my customer's when I was bank manager..he and his wife had twelve, yes, twelve kids. I made the mistake of asking him what he was getting his wife for Christmas one year and he proceeded to tell me he was going to tie a bow on "it" and lay in front of the Christmas tree. My response, you do realize where babies come from, right?! He was crazy! Also, a thought, what did you use to do when you were wooing her, no idea what weather you have at Christmas but I think a nice bottle of wine, a blanket on the beach, soft music and lay back watch the stars, tell her why you first fell in love with her and why you love her more today!
As for my weekend, I have a sick little girl on our couch, she has looked forward all week to spending the night, she is as she puts it "snotties". Have got to do some shopping tomorrow and going to try my hand at making chocolate covered cherries...we'll see how that goes.
Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend.

cookies!
some of my kids, grandkids & i did cut out Christmas cookies today. we did 30 dozen so it took some time! before & after the cookie making, we sat around & talked, which was very relaxing. tomorrow will be a day of watching sports on tv. monday starts my 3 days of chemo for #11 out of 12. i like the suggestions others made of a massage, manicure & pedicure, jewelry & doing something romantic. i think a big red bow ( placed you know where!!!) as a surprise would be great!!! happy shopping!
