Post-op after Da Vinci Radical
my Gleason stayed at 3+4=7, the t1c moved to pT2C, and the best part was Margins Negative for carcinoma.
I still feel pretty poor, mostly due to the fact that I am a childhood Polio Survivor, so the surgery had an extra toll on me.
More to come my next time back.

PS
I will be 61 years old this month on the 28th.

Good news
Beacon723,
Congrats. Make sure that you have your PSA checked, either every three or six months. This is vital. Should it start to climb you should consider switching to an Oncologist. Enjoy your success, but plan for the future. Hopefully it is gone. That would be a great Christmas present. I wish you continued success.

The good news is my Doctor is already certified in Urologic Oncology also, and he is part of a great medical group (Michigan Institute of Urology, P.C.) and I am to see him next Tuesday to have my Foley removed, and he will run my first post-op PSA and I will be seeing him on a very strict schedule for the rest of my life.
Thanks again Mike,

I am there too! Your pathology is similar to mine. I got my surgery 2.5 years ago. Doc told possibility of recurrence is less than 3%. PSA 0 so far. Rejoice and celebrate.0 -

Congrats on your progress and good luck!...I had the surgery back in July and I can tell you there are definitely better days ahead...getting the catheter was a big improvement...even though my doctor had me remove it my self at home and my wife thought it would be funny to watch...she even offered to help pull on it. Anyway, once out there is some relearning as it relates to control...but this gets better all the time as well. I hope you all the best and thank you for your service to our country!
