Hello All. I am a friend of Soccerfreaks and have some great news about him for anyone that knows or remembers him. He recently had some scans done. He had his results appointment with his oncologist and is cancer free!! He has a nagging cough, but it is not due to cancer. It may possibly be aspiration related or scar tissue. He is eating more, drinking more, but he says he may have to learn to slow down when he eats. He is having a barium swallowing test in the near future.

After his appointment, he and his wife went out to the restaurant to celebrate. He had a beer to celebrate..it was one he had never tasted and was more than appropriate for the situation. The name of the beer was "Victory."

    Cool Deal...
I did speak to him not long ago, and know that he is busy with various projects and some studies and such.

Glad he is doing better, you'll have to tell him that I remember our last meal and beer together in Atlanta, LOL...

Please tell Joe and Corrine I said Hello....

That is great news. Joe was so supportive and encouraging all thru my husband's dx, treatment and recurrence and his passing. He is such a hoot. Tell him basketcase says, "Way to go, Joe"!

    GREAT NEWS
Hey cinnamonsmile, thanks for the update, I'm very glad to hear that Soccerfreaks is beast free! The progressive eating and drinking sound very good too. I must say, I love the celebration Victory beer, I will be looking for some. Please give him an enthusastic congratulations for me.

    Not Just Cancer Free
Doc used the word "Cured"! Not bad for a guy who went through H&N treatment, only to be told it had spread to his lung, and he might have only ten months to live at one time. Absolutely fabulous!
