I am a new member I was wanting to know what a normal CA125 is

in Ovarian Cancer #1
I was just found out I had breast cancer in Oct.Now I found out I have a ovarian cyst on my ovary . They did a Ca 125 test on my blood . Don't know much about it yet I am in my seventys Hoping the cyst are just that and not cancerous what is normal CA 125?

    I hope they are just cysts too. There are two scales for the CA-125, depending on the way the test is run. The normal ranges are 0-21 or 0-35. Other things can elevate the CA-125 too, so it can be elevated when ovarian cancer is not present. Good luck.

    Guest I will find out
    Guest I will find out tomorrow .They said my CA125 was normal.And that was good be glad when surgery is over to nerve racking.I am praying too.Thank you for your prays.

    Had my ovaries removed with
    Had my ovaries removed with the cysts and had what they call a wash to see if cancer cell showed up there all turned out ok .They did my surgery with a robot I fell my pray were anyswered .Waiting for the test on what they took out .Dr.said he would really be surprize if it came back cancerous. Thank You ladies for your prays.
