I just heard about this also,
It is oil that you are getting the benefits from not the thc so you are not suppose to get high from it... I was really curious also about this. Interesting as my niece sent me a link that one of her clients gave her. Another thing to research!

    Thank you for explaining this.
I don't know how many treatments you had scheduled. I have done chemo, and I do not believe I would be here without it. I had been on weekly chemo for almost 2 years and it worked. It slowed down the progression. Nothing has put me in remission and now my immune system is so compromised, according to my mo, that he is afraid that one of the infections and/or reactions will get me.

I am curious what chemo you were on and what your oncologists reaction to stopping chemo and doing this treatment were.

    Best to you,

    Hi Kacee! I was diagnosed
Hi Kacee! I was diagnosed with stage 2b HER positive. I would have to find my pathology report to tell you more...I actually don't remember everything. I am at work and it's at home. To answer your question...you can smoke marijuana to alleviate the side effects of chemo and nausea. That has helped many patients. But it does so much more! They are only beginning to research this wonderful medicine. The drug companies, some doctors and hospital don't want you to know about this as they can't patient it because it's a natural plant. If people started to use it for a cure they won't make the billions of dollars the cancer industry makes. My care giver used it to cure his lung cancer a couple of years ago and now just takes a maintenance dose every day. Feel free to ask me anything. Do as much research on this and you will find what a wonderful plant this is. I am so amazed!! Take care Kacee!

    To Ginger Girl
You are at a stage with a pathology that you should really reconsider going back to your treatment. 70% of women who do standard treatment do never recur. You don't ever want to be stage IV. Before they found the oncogene for HER2NEU women died quickly from this aggressive cancer. Herceptin has been a blessing to many women, keeping them alive or extending their life. I guarantee that MJ will not do that, I really urge you to go back and talk with your oncologist.

This drug works in Mice and having been diagnose in 1994 and online since 1997, I will tell you that what works in Mice doesn't mean it ever will ever work in people. I have seen a lot of hoopla that has come out with this sort of thing with the keyword being "works in Mice in labs". So many of them were never heard again in the media.

They don't have any cure for cancer. A few like testicular, they do have some idea what might work on it and that is why Lance Armstrong did so well with his. Some childhood leukemias are curable. Breast cancer is the oldest recorded disease in history. Somewhere along the way, I am willing to bet women have used it but if it worked the way it is showing in these mice, the information would have trickled down.

Don't be taken in by Media spin of something that might never be tested in people. When it is offered in clinical trial, Phase II better in Phase III then it's time to reconsider standard treatment. I wouldn't take the words of a MJ seller that it cured anyone. I am a doubting Thomas. Did you speak to the person cured of lung cancer? Did you see his reports, pathology, scans and etc.? What proof do you have that this person isn't what once was called a snake oil salesperson? What is the background of the person selling you MJ? A medical person, scientist or just some one who believes that MJ should be promoted? Do they have a license to sell MJ? In my state MJ is approved for medical reasons and the person who decides if there is a valid medical reason is a doctor.

Please reconsider, at least talking with your oncologist about what you are doing.

I think that we do have a
I think that we do have a right to flag "There are thousands of cancer patients that have been cured of cancer with cannabis!! No side effects!!". That is pushing quackery--not expressing an opinion.

    For CC
In my state, MJ is legal for medical purposes, such as nausea from chemotherapy. A medical doctor must approved of the reason that it is needed. Certain people are picked as growers and distributors, they are state approved and license.

Ginger Girls providers I question if they are licensed and their background in the medical field to give out information of the sort that they gave her. I don't believe the people who are growers & distributors of the plant are approved to give medical advice.

I don't believe for one second that this is a legitimate and Ginger Girl is risking a lot by allowing her cancer to progress. What she gave is an opinion on what tabloids are stating, newspapers of that kind always give out erroneous information and often state their are moon people walking around Mars or stuff of that nature.

This is a lab who clearly state the evidence is in mice and it doesn't work in all these little creatures. A lab experiment is not something one uses as a basis for alternative medication. I would think that this would be understood by anyone reading a sensationalized cure. There is no cures at the moment for breast cancer.

I have been flagged so many times and really questioned where I had been wrong in my opinions. People who believe that others don't have the same right to an opinion as they do is censorship. I certainly don't approve or believe a word of MJ curing cancer at this date but I wouldn't flag someone because they do. They might believe that there are humans on Pluto and that is their right to believe if they want too.

I don't like what you're peddling... God made grapes too.. my sign to drink wine to cure my cancer? For pete's sake.. stop driving home false cures.. I have no problem with med marijuana as an aid to help ease side effects of chemo but if it were a cure, we would know it long before you came along!

    Chemo works for me
Cynthia, I did use the wrong term when I said cure. The study that I read about said it shrank tumors in lab rats and it didn't give any details as to how the infusion was done. Here's my final opinion on it. I am on chemo and it IS working, very well. The side effects are awful at times but, it's only temporary. I was an addict bfor 23 years and pot was an every day thing. For me, pot would be a last resort to ease the discomfort and pain of this disease. I personally wouldn't be eating raw cannabis especially knowing what the raw stuff can do to your liver and kidneys.

Here's a couple of articles on treating with cannabis. In the first one their research mentions CBD as the ingredient that fights the cancer. That ingredient probably is in too small amounts in the kind of pot that is grown for smoking to be of any use. So, her self treatment is probably taking her down the wrong road.

Doris, I never have a problem with others expressing opinions, but this post went way beyond that in making false claims and misleading others. And, for those of us who struggle with our therapies every single day, it is beyond insulting.

I would like to believe this is a legitimate survivor, but her claims make me wonder if she has ties with the cannabis industry? I saw red flags all over that post. If she is legit, then I feel terribly sorry for her, because, in my training, I saw many folks in the hospital in the final stages of cancer. And without her chemo...well, I think that is so unwise. My hospital experience has kept me compliant and kept me alive for 25 years--not cured but still working and fighting.

P.S. BTW, I do not have an issue with cannabis for the side effects. I even tried it 25 years ago in desperation. Unfortunately, it did nothing for my nausea and vomiting. I worked out a prescription drug regimen with my chemo nurse that did work well and I was then able to keep working. But if it helps your nausea or improves your appetite, I have no issue with it.

    I agree with previous poster....
    Where are these survivors?
    Where are their path reports?
It always seems to be "someone else" who was cured...that other guy. Why is he not sitting in Mayo Clinic right now being studied as the only person in the world who was magically "cured" at Stage IV.

    Good for you Ginger!!
I'm new here and have been reading many posts. I haven't posted much but love reading all the info here! Ginger, I know many people that have been cured of cancer from cannabis. I know caregivers in my community and many testimonials. I am on chemo, but take the "oil" to help with the symptoms and believe me IT HELPS TREMENDOUSLY!! I don't know what I would do without it. There is such a stigma with marijuana and that needs to change. The only reason there wasn't clinical studies on it is because it is a schedule 1 drug. The government won't let them. Now that more and more states are changing their laws there will be many human studies. The big pharma and doctors won't like it, but this is not going away. Can I contact you privately to discuss more? Apparently it makes some people angry just to read about it! How silly! By the way here in Michigan we have a Medical Marijuana law so I am not breaking any laws. I just want my medicine so I can live as normal life as I can having cancer and being on chemo!! Please ladies don't knock it if you know nothing about it. If it helps anyone even just a small bit what's it to you? Thanks again Ginger for being brave and posting what you feel here!! Take care Ginger!

    What's with all the flags?
I noticed some of the posts were flagged? HUH? There is nothing wrong with medicial marijuana girls! It's 2012! It's almost 2013! Grow up! Many, many chemo patients think of MMJ as a Godsend and I am one of them. I don't know what I would do without it. I actually can go to work for a whole day and feel good. I can sleep at night without waking up once! I used to be up many times at night because I didn't feel good. My sweet hubby loves that! Really ladies, think of others before you condemn something you know nothing about. Any one of us could die at any time so why is it so terrible that someone gets relief from a plant. It's just a plant and it's my valuable medicine. Sorry for the venting, but let's just give each other some words of encouragement instead of bashing the very thing that let's us have a normal life again.

    I have no issue
with marijuana -medicinal or pleasure use! I have issue of the claim that it CURES cancer.. please stop giving the false statements.. there are some very fragile people here and your offering false hope! If marijuana works for the side effects of chemo, I am happy for anyone who can get that relief by smoking a joint... using the oil... baking a pan of brownies.. whatever the choice may be. I am extremely pleased you are being flagged for not only your claims of a cure but for your attitude in your post.

    Thanks so much Joeybirdie!
Thank you Joeybirdie for your words of encouragement! And thanks from the bottom of my heart for the time you spent last night chatting with me about this! I am eternally grateful for your precious time you spent with me. Tell your husband thanks for his input too! You two were so helpful in answering my list of questions! LOL I now understand so much more then I did yesterday about the wonderful plant Marijuana! Wow! They are making such remarkable progress researching this and getting the word out about the healing aspects of this great plant. I know this is not going away...if anything it will grow and many people will rely on this plant for many medical symptoms. I'm praying people will get hold of this and spread the word. There are some Facebook pages dedicated to information and testimonials from cancer patients that have been cured or their symptoms alleviated from smoking or using the oil or like me the raw cannabis. I wouldn't trade it for a million dollars! God Bless Joey and I will look forward to chatting again with you! Bye for now, Ginger

Medical MJ maybe, but this isn't about the nausea business. Your talking about being cured from pot when there is just a small possibility with mice. If it works, it is years away.

Your testimonials are as fake as those of Dr. Burzynski and all those diet books that have cures. If people where cured, it would be on the front page of every newspapers, it would be Tweeted, all over Facebook, and every network would be talking and interviewing about "the cure".

There isn't any of this because there isn't any cure. If you believe what you wrote, you wouldn't be doing chemotherapy. I don't believe Gingergirl is now a real person, perhaps you and she are one and the same promoting false hope .

Hi Doris. I do know many
Hi Doris. I do know many people that have been cured of cancer with MMJ. Not smoking it but taking the oil or eating it raw. Smoking never cured anyone, only helped the symptoms of chemo. The only reason I am taking chemo is because my husband felt it would be better if I did. I agreed, but I said that if it was too much for me I would quit. It was pretty bad for awhile until I started to take the oil. Now it's tolerable. Ginger said she would go back on it if her CT Scan shows no improvement with cannabis. Where have you been for the last couple of years? I have seen many news programs discussing MMJ for curing cancer. I've read numerous articles in newspapers on this very subject. Facebook has many pages about RSO and raw cannabis. And twitter too. Just because you never heard of it, don't assume there isn't anything to it. I don't care if most people won't try it, but at least let the word get out so someone could get some relief from chemo or actually be cured of it. The reason some folks don't shout it from the mountain is because in their state there is no MMJ laws. They are doing it illegally and are afraid to talk about it. Fortunately here in Michigan we past the MMJ law back in 2008. I'm very grateful for this but even if it weren't legal I would use it. But I would not be on here talking about it in fear of arrest. If one patient on this site finds MMJ useful for any reason I will be happy. Here's to everyone finding their own comfort! Joey

    Off chemo and cannabis
I have been on this board since Aug. 2010 (changed my username) and I never have seen this many responses flagged as offensive. What is going on? I will probably get flagged too, well, there is a first time for everything. Unfortunately I live in backwards Texas and no hope to get Cannabis in any form, smoke, rubs, oils, none! Husband notwithstanding, this old lady of 79 would smoke up a storm, or whatever. I do have side effects from damaged nerves due to lymph node removal, heaven to just check out for a while! That said - I now need to take a very, very deep breath..... So, now some form of MJ is going to "cure" cancer? Really? Another wonderful cure suppressed by avaricious medical profession/pharmaceutical industry and Government to keep the billions flowing? Naturally, being off chemo makes one feel better, for a short time at least. In the meantime those cancer cells are recuperating and will happily go about their business multiplying. The sad thing is, some will buy into this, and a perfectly curable cancer will end up terminal. Chemo/surgery/radiation is one tough road to walk on, but walk on we did and are alive as a consequence of it. We are not stupid mindless followers but brave, courageous men and women. Please be so kind and give us details on the thousands that have been "cured" by cannabis, type, grade, stage, 5 year survival rates, scientific data from reputable sources, I'd like to read it.

    I am sorry too
Wow what a thread. Finally after 15 years of survival this site is actually talking about things that are part of reality though I have to wonder myself where is all the cure in chemo radiation and surgery. Do we just forget that we are at greater risk of getting breast cancer again along with higher risks for getting other cancers. This sort of rains on the CURE parade I think.

Don't get me wrong I consider myself and many others here miracles just for still being here when the cards were stacked against us. I learned after being ill for a very long time before my cancer diagnosis that there truly shouldn't be any reason why anyone should have to suffer in this day and age. All treatments including surgery almost killed me with infections and poor health but being stage 3 and very ill might not have helped.

I am here to say that pharmacuticals often come with side effects that are just as bad as some of the effects felt from treatments. Some of us are very sensative to everything done to us and I began with one disease Breast Cancer and have had to learn to live with many diseases these past 15 years so sorry if I am not on the CURE Train.

Quality for my life is another story though. We have had access to THC sprays and pills in Canada for years but science has a tendancy to change what was actually good so it has taken years to get anything useful for a patient. They now know that the entire component of the plant is needed so POT isn't bad after all. I always said that was man's first mistake getting rid of HEMP because man sure found allot of ways to distroy a very good thing. The war hasn't worked and time for a change and I am feeling it in the wind here. Thank you

I'm no detective but I know a scam when I see one. Find some other site to spread your scam. These ladies and gentlemen are more deserving of respect. If it looks like a rat and smells like a rat it is most likely a rat....................

BTW I have no problem with medical cannibus for any reason.

names, specifics, dates, path reports...put your money where your mouth is. Not the old "a friend of my co-worker's sister..." line. That's as old as the hills. I always like how it seems to exponentially grow...."I know "MANY" people who have been CURED." Give me one...give me two. give me PROOF. We on this board are always open to new ideas and the medical community is discovering new advances HOURLY. But do NOT utter the word CURE when that for all practical purposes is blasphemous to those souls who are fighting tooth and nail for their very existence. Give us something solid and we will be the first to band together and call the American Cancer Society and give them the proof to review, if these purported cured individuals are too "scared" to come forward because of anti-MJ laws (I'm sorry, I have to LAUGH at that). If there is a cure out there, it should be known about. But.....
