I want good news

in Head and Neck Cancer #1
David has primary plasma cell leukemia. Over 40% of his white blood cells are cancerous. He is very anemic. The doctor said they bone in his hip has been significantly impacted. They are keeping him seven days and are starting a seven chemo drug regimen in the morning. No more treatment for head and neck. The doctor said he wouldn't live long enough to complete that treatment. The are going to try two seven day cycles three weeks apart and see if they can get him to remission over a 6 cycle. The doctor said if he doesn't respond after 2 cycles he most likely won't. It appears I won't have my husband much longer.

    I am so sorry. My heart is breaking for you. I wish I could give you a hug and some type of comfort. I pray the chemo will get him into remission. Please remember we are here for you.

    Oh, I am so sorry. What a horrible blow. Hug him tight and know that our love flows through you both.
    I will pray so fervently for remission. I hope he finds the will to fight this and you have support people to help hold you up.
    You have been so strong, please lean a bit on others and know you are loved.

    be praying for you and your husband. You have been thru so much, you are a remarkable lady and somehow we just got to get you and him thru this. That will be prayer and you can be assured they are coming and more and more will send theirs up on your behalves.

    I am praying for you and David harder than ever before. You have to fight this like no other fight you've been faced with. Never give up hope and have faith that the medicine and the doctors will heal David to put him in remission. Please check in daily or send me a PM so I know how and what to pray for. I'm sorry you have had to deal with so much. Please let David know that many of us are on your team and rooting for both of you.

    Vivian, so so sad for you
    Vivian, so so sad for you and David today. The fact that he has two distinct cancers is just beyond belief. Please know that I am praying and thinking of you and David. Please keep us posted and I can only imagine what you are going through. We are all her with you in spirit during this fight.

    Never Stop fighting.....
    The odds may seem against you right now...but you just can't let that get you down. Pick yourself up and know that you are going to give this cancer the biggest damn fight you can possibly give. The doctors have finally figured this dx out, let them do what they are trained to do and trust they will do everything they can to keep David alive. You must believe that.

    I pray for peace to come over you during this time. Know that you are never alone with this fight. I sent you an email....please read it and keep me posted day or night.

    like the others here, I'm praying for you and David...that he will make a turn around with the two cycles and begin to heal. I can only imagine the pain you are in...Tucking you both into my pocket for the duration...I have wished so many times that we all lived closer to one another...

    Dear Vivian, I feel so sorry for you and David! Please note that we're all here for you. I know it would be much easier if we were all closer and actually able to hug and comfort.. or at least talk... But we're here your virtual family and believe me that you have now more prayers coming for you that ever before.
    I truly wish that things would change for you two for better. Please be strong and trust doctors. They will do everything they can to help David!
