I start chemo again in the morning,first reacurrance...help me please under stand this new one to be

Well i have been waiting for little over a month for my new ong.dr. to get me started on chemo ,not looking forward to it just want to get it over.My question is have any of you ladies had carboplatin/taxol/avastin,I have tried to find out as much about the avastin as i could ,i've heard good and bad..not sure the good out weighs the bad.Im already nervous and now starting the avastin has me very nerous.Like i said this is my first reacurance i was ned for over a year.Hoping to get there again by Gods grace and mercy.Thank you for any help..Debbie

    Sorry you're facing it again Debbie.
    I'm also on chemo for my first recurrence. I had Avastin last year with carbo/taxol. I took Avastin for several months as maintenance. During the first line I had some nose bleeds from the Avistin. The biggest problem with it were body aches. But those too were not unbearable. But I think you'll do fine with it.

    I actually receive avastin
    I actually receive avastin every 3 weeks til march. I got my first avastin in april of this year during my carbo/taxol. For the most part i'm ok

    this is my third time on it and for me the side effects are not bad, runny nose,some nose bleeds and body aches. Others are not so lucky it is a crap shoot but have not heard so many with really bad effects. Oh and I forgot a rise in blood pressure which probably explains the nose bleeds.
