I think is a sad Thanks giving day ,just a sad Thursday here ( not celebrating) but I think the fight must go on , Having and toasting with a glass of wine at your honour rick!.
Well......tomorrow cinema, Sunday family lunch ( SWP) ,Standard winter plan! LOL.

    We had a nice quiet
    We had a nice quiet Thanksgiving... Just Dh and I and our 2 children. we are headed to Pennsylvania for the weekend .... To see my MIL who has ovarian cancer. We will have lots of family around and good food...although I can't really taste anything right now...everything tastes like a cardboard box right now.

    i am also very sad about Rick. my prayers are for Cynthia & Rick. today was a great family day. we went to one of my sons. 4 of my grandkids could not come so just 13 grandkids were there. plus my 7 kids, their spouses, other family members & 5 friends. so we had a housefull of 46 people! everyone brought food so it was not hard on anyone. we all laughed & poked fun of others when one of my sons showed videos from when they were growing up in the 60's thru 2012. i am glad you will have a good weekend. stay healthy my friend!

    My blackberry is acting. Up I. Was going to stay in to finish reading bEyond the Eatiful Lowers by Atherine Oo but now I must go shopping for a cell phone arghhh I a very saddened by rick4 passinh andsend prayers out to his family

    I a$ thankful for all of you and shared experiences within the board I personally think I would have nitted up by now if I didn( have yur support. (See keys aren't working on my blackberry?ery temperamental)Y mother's scan is in June. Crazy how these things pop in your mind don't let me cause a ice cream shortage this year for I am aso grateful that I have lost 30 pounds

    I'm planning on resting up this weekend, but that was also the plan the last few weekends. I did start on a pretty good note by making a banana pancake brunch for me and my folks along with some homemade eggnog (posting the recipe in another thread.) I am hoping to go around the town where I live and shoot some photos to render in black and white and start working on a small, photographic history book of the town.

    ... CD release Party with "Jördis Tielsch", that young girl with the incredible voice I told about. Will be a nice evening.

    A quiet weekend at home
    Our daughter is in town from the West Coast.

    No shopping - avoiding stores like the plague! We had a great family gathering yesterday, with my siblings, their spouses, kids and grandkids, our mother, and friends and extended family. Broke open a bottle of 1917 Port (from the year of my mother's birth!) It was rich and wonderful!

    Wishing everyone a joyous, peaceful, healthy, loving holiday season!

    It is past time for me to begin my shopping for Christmas gifts for my grandkids...all 7 of them! The older they get the harder they are to shop for.

    Thank goodness for the vast options for shopping on the internet! I hate crowds and that is the status of all stores between now and Christmas.

    We are spending our weekend on the water. It is beautiful here and the boat is in the water. **** was able to surf yesterday before our Thanksgiving feast. Our daughter is home from college for the weekend. Very grateful but still feeling deep sorry over the loss of Rick.
