Good scan results
I don't post on here very often anymore, but I wanted to share good news. My husband Jeff was diagnosed with T2N1M0 in May of 2011, he had chemo concurrent radiation thru July of 2011 and an esophagectomy on September 6 2011. He just had his 14 month scan and all is clear. We hope and pray for many more clean scans ahead.
Keep your heads up and keep fighting.
Niki

Fantastic!
Hi Niki:
This is such great news for you and Jeff! I think we all go into these scans hopeful and with cautious optimism, but scanxiety is what it is and it’s such a huge relief to hear the doctor say things like, “No evidence of metastasis or local recurrence.” I had my 12 month post-op scan a month ago and got the same good news, so I think I know pretty much exactly how Jeff feels. And I think it’s good for the newbies to hear stories like ours so they can see that there is often hope when fighting the beast.
So Congrats to you and Jeff, and here’s hoping for many, many more clear scans.

Congratulations, my friend!
Niki,
I am SO HAPPY for you and Jeff! I know how difficult and scary this fight has been for you both. I am DELIGHTED that the news was good and pray for many, many more years of clean scans and NED results.
You are in my thoughts often.

good to hear
Niki that is wonderful news, what a great result, truly the best Xmas present ever for you both. My husband is up to 4 cycle of chemo next week (has to have total of 6) and will be rescanned to ensure treatment is having affect. Diagnosed Stage IV with liver mets in August this year. We are surviving on hope at the moment. please keep us in your prayers. I come to this forum each night and gain strength from the positive words that are posted.

Still NED
I'm 2.5 years out from the Ivor Lewis and just had my 6th. clean PET scan last week. I was also T2N1M0, but all traces of cancer were obliterated by chemo/radiation prior to my May 2012 surgery. Other than dwelling at a size zero, my health is perfect.0 -

My surgery was in May of 2010, not 2012!0
