Can't help you much afraid.
Can't help you much afraid. Had double/bilateral mastectomies and know even then cancer can spread to chest wall, nodes and have to be aware of any changes around scared areas. You would loose weight with the foods you have cut out, well done. I would say a thorough in depth check up is required ASAP, they may be nothing to worry about. Please keep us informed and good luck.0 -

Please See Your Doctor
I don't understand what you are saying about the doctor taking out the bump which has gotten bigger in the chest wall in his office. Do you mean lump and not bump? Usually biopsies are done in the OR. Fine Needle biopsies are done in a doctor's office but if the lump is cancer it isn't removed in an office.
It is normal to be nervous for the first five years after diagnose. It is normal to assume every pain, ache, fever to be a return of cancer. Most of the time it isn't a recurrence as 70% to not go on to have any problems after the initial diagnose and treatment.
I certainly would see a doctor very soon as to why you are having a low grade fever. Might be an infection of some kind.
I never had any fever with my 3 recurrences. Everyone is different with their symptoms. You have had good advice from Vickisam and Roz to see your doctor for an answer. Worrying isn't going to give you an answer.
Best to you,

It goes with the territory. Maybe you can get in to your primary care physician sooner than November 6 and report these symptoms because they could have absolutely nothing to do with cancer. Your pcp could start the ball rolling by ordering blood work and other tests which would be available by the time you have your oncology appointment. You will be able to put your mind at ease sooner and if your oncologist wants to do other tests, then those can be done then. Or if the oncologist wants to poo-poo your symptoms, you'll already know you've looked into other causes. Doesn't have to be cancer, you know.
There is something called "tumor fever". It was the only symptom my friend had when she was diagnosed with kidney cancer. It's the body's response to some tumors, but I don't think breast cancer is one of them. She'd been running fevers off and on for over a year, was finally hospitalized and an MRI done. Bingo. Everyone was surprised. I don't think this is common at all. Again, I don't think it is typical with breast cancer, but you know I don't know much. Just wanted to comment on this since you asked.
Vent away, MollyZ. November 15 is a long way off, but you can get those other symptoms that are worrying you looked at sooner by your pcp. I became a huge believer in my pcp - she listens to me (not that my oncs don't, but she really listens).

Molly not to scare you but I had a lump/bump in my chest wall that turned out to be cancer in my chest wall and sentinel node (because it was the node it did rise and fall). I would want at least a fine needle aspiration to ensure it was nothing to worry about. I did read that your surgeon planned to remove it in his office, please let us know how things go. You continue in my positive thoughts and prayers!
Hugs,
