OT What are your hobbies? Your stress relievers?
My passion is native gardening. I am like the kid who says, "outside" all of the time, because that is where I want to be. I love native gardening because the native plants are usually covered with butterflies and bees and other beneficial insects. And it just makes me smile to watch them. Right now we have lots of monarchs, gulf frittilaries, cloudless sulfurs, honeybees and bumble bees. And the bugs bring the birds, but don't get me started. I know I am a complete nerd ;-). Now I would love to hear about YOU!

The Movies
Going to the movies is my biggest stress reliever. It takes me to another place. Watching a movie in a theatre relaxes me.
Sometimes I need to get out of town as I feel like I am being suffocated. Driving into the country gives my mind and body "space". My husband does the driving and I view the scenery. Extremely relaxing. It like a "breath of fresh air".

I love movies too! I don't get to them as often as I'd like anymore--partly because all of the films that I am the most interested in viewing are playing in New Orleans. Danny is always encouraging me to make the 40 min drive. You are inspiring me to go :-)0 -
I have a few, but my absolute favoriteCypressCynthia said:I love movies too! I don't

is baking. The fancier and fussier the better. I loving baking all types of cookies (I make at least 10 different kind--several dozen of each--for the holidays), cakes, cupcakes, pies, candies. Can you tell I love desserts?!
I also love making hors d'oeuvres for parties. I love hosting appetizer/dessert parties for a crowd. My fantasy wish would be to have a small bistro/cafe and serve everything I love to make!

walk
I love to walk. I enjoy the trails the most. No cell service! I also like to go to San Francisco to walk. The streets are fun, the Presidio and Golden Gate Park.
In the evening we walk with my grand daughter. She is up to 2 miles at a time. Before she moved in we would take the labs every night.

I also love to walk I live by the ocean and I love to walk there to watch and listen to the waves. The ocean reminds me how powerful it is and how powerless I am. I love to read cause I can enter into another place depending on what I am reading. I read all kinds of books. I also listen to music all the time to remember some memories and to create knew ones. I do what I can to keep my mind on other things besides cancer.

So many
I have so many different hobbies/stress relievers. First and foremost are my horses - without them, I have no idea how I wouyld have made it through life.
I have a lot of other passions too that some are very seasonal (here at least). I LOVE to mow grass with my push mower - this year didn't get to do much with our major drought that is going on. I love to ride bikes too. In general just being outside. I've fished most of my life but started fly fishing late this summer and love it. Also have had a couple of fly thing classes recently (and Hubby got me the tools and some material) so during the long cold days of winter, I'll be tying flies for next spring/summer.
Other things I like to do are tatting, sewing, my house plants (I have about 40+ cactus seedlings that I'd be happy to send oon to a new home if someone would like some let me know before it gets too cold to send til spring - will have a lot more then as I just tarted some more seeds the other day), leather work.
That's about all I can think of now. It does make a difference with season how much I do each but I have passions/likes for all seasons.

I love spending time with my two precious grandbabies! They always make me smile and are the best medicine in the world. 2nd would have to be reading. I've enjoyed reading since I was a kid, it's always been my escape. A good book on the beach - I'm in heaven!
