Just checking in after the storm to say all is well at my home in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. There are many affected by power outages in this area, but I guess I lucked out on that.
My thoughts and prayers are with those so severely affected by the hurricane in New York, New Jersey and other areas.

Hi Chris,
Glad to hear you lucked out and didn't lose power. My heart goes out to the millions still without power and probably for days to come. Thank you for letting us know you are ok. Much love...Sue (FNHL-2-3a-6/10)0 -

BABY STORM,HUH ???????? Tell that to the people in New Jersey,New York,Del. Maryland and Pa.
My brother-in-law from a few miles up the Hudson said they got a little rain and some gusty winds, no damage.
Compared to the storms in the Southeast, Sandy is a non-entity, but of course the news will scream diaster for days. People who live directly on the coast ought to know better. Snow machines that move 7 feet of snow cannot, apparantly, move 18 inches osf sand...
News photographers will drive all day to click one picture "bad enough" to submit, and that becomes the world's vision of what happened everywhere.
Wall Street is already re-opening Wednesday. In two weeks, folks will vaguely remember that a storm passed through.0 -

Hi all,
We got hit pretty hard by Sandy here in NJ and the surrounding area. I am so sad for those that lost loved ones, lost their homes or suffered a lot of damage.
We lost power for two days, have a lot of debris in our yard and have been slightly inconvenienced with empty store shelves, trees blocking roads and gas lines. No big deal in the long run.
I am also sad about all the damage down the shore. Seaside has been given a bad name by "The Jersey Shore" but it truly holds so many memories for those of us who grew up here and now it's gone. Just one of those sad little losses that really gets to you.
For a Category one storm Sandy sure had some crazy wind - it was scary and I've been thru many hurricanes in my life!
Thank you all for your concern for those of us in the path!
BTW: I get my blood tests and CAT on Friday (was supposed to on Monday but THAT got postponed! ) and my Oncologist visit on Tuesday to discuss the results and decide about maintenance chemo! Praying for GREAT results!
Hugs,
