CA 125 continues to rise.........but more slowly
I feel good, but I have never had any symptoms, so that doesn't really mean anything. I will have repeat lab and a CAT scan the end of October. Then we will go to Florida the first of November. It would be nice if I did not have to start chemo again this winter, like the last 3 out of 4 winters. Until that time I am enjoying each day. We are headed for the Wisconsin Dells to visit with family.
Hope everyone is having a good day and has fun plans for the weekend. In peace and caring.

That is really good news for you.
I will be praying that there is no chemo for the winter and you enjoy your stay in Florida. Wishing you continued good news. I go Oct 15 for a 3 month follow up but my CA marker has never been a good marker for me as it was 15 when I started my journey last year. It is in the low teens now and has been since Sep 2011. The CT scan in June said NED. Then I had a work scan done at the end of July and it did not show anything except arthritis in lower back which I already knew about. Enjoy your trip. trish0 -
Encouraging news, Ro
I'm so pleased for you that the CA125 is not rising too fast. It does sound as if the Aromasin is slowing things down, which is great and it would be even better if you could enjoy a continued chemo break through the winter.
I hope you had a good holiday? I'm just back from mine, so I am catching up with everyone's news - it's taking me a while - there are so many posts!
Kindest wishes

I can't tell you about the CA125 rising slowly, but do know there's so many reasons why it might rise at all... It's a great indicator for me as well.
In the scheme of things and life, nice to see you're enjoying it with lots of traveling. We need to try and enjoy life as we have no clue what tomorrow will bring.
Here's hopes and positive vibes going your way for a Chemo-free winter in Florida. Enjoy the fun in the sun.
Hugs always,

Hi Ro:
So happy to hear about your news of the cancer. I hope you can remain NED - you have been through enough treatments. I know going through chemo is not an easy thing. However, like most of the women on this board they have said it is doable. I was lucky with going through chemo I had minimal side effects although my oncologist had mentioned over 20 possible side effects before I started last spring (2011). But I did have to get a blood transfusion after my 5th treatment in August of last year as my platelets were too low and my doctor's office said that sometimes happens.
I go back and see my oncologist this Thursday for a 4 month checkup and then another cat scan and blood work. If all comes through clear, I will see him next year every 6 months.
I just hope I can continue to remain NED.
I hope your enjoy your time away.

Had my CAT scan and it showed a miminal increase in a paratracheal node from 12mm to 16mm. Other nodes are stable though. It did show a gallstone and a ventral hernia. Those could be contributing to my nausea.
My marker went from 252 to 357 in four weeks. So it continues to rise, but at least it is still more slowly that the last time I went off chemo. I am still taking the Aromasin and the daily blood thinner shots. It may be that that combination is helping slow the marker rise. Will follow-up with my gyn/ono in Floirda.
I am feeling good. We are headed to Florida for the winter, so I am looking forward to walking on the beach again. The temps here are getting in the 30's, so those 80 degree temperatures will feel good.
We had a great trip to Wisconsin and saw so many beautiful color changes in the trees. Maybe we will see some color changes as we drive through Tennessee.
Hope everyone is having a good day. In peace and caring.0 -

Jan
Hope you have a wonderful time in Florida
I dont remember what is your diagnosis...?USPC
I just came back from my 1st chemo with Doxil
By next one in 3 weeks, I hope to be also on Avastin, at $4000 a shot.....Home Equity Line of Credit!!
Feel good right now, partly due to the relief of the chemo being over and easy
And partly due to the steroids!!
I always enjoy your posts... positive and upbeat and strong
I hope the tail end of the hurricaine does not blow all the leaves off the trees, so you get to see some beautiful colour on your drive
to Florida...I love autumn....just walked my dog in the rain (steroids!)
Colours are peaking here in Toronto
What state do you hail from?
Bon Voyage, and all the best,
Beila0 -

Good to hear that the CA125 is slowing and you won't be needing chemo to knock it back again for a while at least. Stupid cancer must be a little befuddled by the Aromasin. Feeling good must feel good!
Enjoy the sun and your trip through the Smokey Mountains of Tennessee. Hope your Florida doc is also pleased by this slowing. Have a wonderful winter in the sunshine.

We had an uneventful trip from Illinois to Florida.
It was beautiful traveling through the Smokey Mountains. There was a lot of color.
We had lots of wind when we arrived in Florida. Cooler temperatures than we expected
Too. But it will warm up later in the week.
Beila I do have UPSC stage 3-C. I have my follow-up appointment the
End of November. Continue to feel good, so I am enjoying the sunshine.
Too windy for the beach though.
Mary Ann hope the second round of Doxil is better for you.
Hope everyone is doing good. You all remain in my prayers.
In peace and caring.0
