OT - Pray for me and NJ
Please send NJ a prayer (or 2) to keep us safe. OMG ... I hope this is not prequel to what our winter is going to be.

you in my thoughts. I have 2 brothers in NJ so I am worried about them as well. I hope it turns out not to be as bad as is predicited.

Praying for on the East Coast .. seem so unreal.
Prepare for the worse, hoping for the best. I occasionally get tired of looking
at our 'Earthquake' emergency kits, however, they make me feel a little safer.

NJ too
I live in NJ too, ocean county and are expected to get hit pretty hard. I am hoping that we will get lucky and not lose power.
I will keep you and all my pink sister in the path of this storm in my prayers.
Let's hope they are wrong and it won't be so bad

You've got my prayers. Please be safe and let me know if there is anything I can do!0 -

P.S. My mother-in-law taught me years ago to freeze every pot and large container that I had (and would fit) in my freezer. This serves two purposes: 1) it keeps your freezer cold if the power goes out (solid blocks of ice take a long time to melt) and 2) it supplies you with extra dinking and flushing water. I now do this for every hurricane and it has really saved my butt more than once ;-). But I am praying that you don't lose power!0 -

I feel guilty for the perfect TX weather at the moment, after seeing the natl news. You are in our prayers. Linda0 -
Got through it
like a true warrior! It was one of the most scary things I've ever been part of. The winds were ferocious! Not a lot of rain in my part of NJ, but the coastline was demolished. Breaks my heart. NJ Shores are such a treasure. From what I've been seeing (for the first time today) are pictures of complete devastation. I have many friends who are still without power and I pray they can continue to be positive and healthy. All I want to do is help whomever I can. I am reaching out to everyone I can think of.
The temperatures are dropping to below 40 at night and I can't imagine dealing with that. It was 34 last night, but my electricity kicked in before bedtime. I had the gas oven pumping heat during the day just to keep the chill off.
How blessed am I? VERY! Thank you for all your prayers.
BTW --- Hubby is still in NYC and won't be home til tomorrow night. I am looking forward to seeing him. He will most likely be grumpy and tired, but that's OK. At least he will be home with a wife who just wants to tend to his needs.
Love you ALL!
