I have been saying for a while that they should be focusing on 10 year survivor stats since 10 year survivors is becoming more common.0 -

You are not bragging. You are giving newbies like me (diagnosed a month ago) hope. When the surgeon told me I had colon cancer w/mets to my liver, I asked if it was curable. He said no, and gave me statistics. It wasn't until I started with the oncologist that I began to have some hope, that this was "treatable."0 -

There is always hope and exceptions to the statistics. Statistics are outdated.0 -

I know.....guess I just keep saying the same thing over and over......hard hard day here....just came in from funeral of neighbour's brother...lung cancer.....my daughter not here for Christmas because her hubby's sister's husband just died of cancer...he was 38.....on Thursday a very good friend that I taught school with died of cancer....she was58....
just feeling swamped by the beastie....sorry
